청소년 자원봉사활동과 인성발달에 관한 연구 : 안양시 청소년을 중심으로 = Influence on the character of teenagers who execute volunteer activities

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현대사회는 청소년들에게 과거에는 경험하지 못한 다양한 사회현상과 경험의 장을 제공해 주고 있다. 최근 정보화사회의 진입은 청소년들의 교육과 인성형성에 커다란 영향을 미치고 있으며, 이에 따른 문제점을 해소하고자 청소년들에게 자원봉사를 제도화하게 되었다. 학교에서는 봉사시간을 정해 주고 지역사회에서 봉사활동을 하도록 지도하고 있다.
본 연구는 청소년 자원봉사활동이 청소년의 인성에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증적으로 조사·연구한 논문이다. 청소년의 자원봉사활동이 청소년의 인성인, 자아정체성, 도덕성(이타성, 사회적 책임감) 등에 미치는 영향의 정도를 살펴보고, 나아가 자원봉사활동 경험에 따른 인성의 차이를 분석하였다. 따라서 청소년 자원봉사의 중요성과 인성형성에 영향을 미치는 자원봉사 프로그램의 개발에 연구목적을 두었다.
첫째, 청소년 자원봉사활동 경험에 따라 청소년의 인성(자아정체성, 이타성, 사회적 책임감)에 얼마나 많은 영향을 미치는가를 파악하였다.
둘째로, 연구결과를 토대로 바람직한 청소년 자원봉사활동의 대안을 제시함으로써 청소년 자원봉사활동을 활성화하는데 도움을 주고자 하였다.
본 연구의 조사결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 청소년의 자아정체성에 영향을 미치는 유의미한 요인으로는 생활수준, 학업성적이었으며, 청소년의 인간관계에 영향을 받는 유의미한 요인으로는 부모와의 대화정도, 학교 선생님의 존경정도, 친구관계 등에서 나타났으며,
둘째, 청소년의 도덕성에 영향을 미치는 유의미한 요인으로는 종교, 생활수준, 학업성적이었으며, 청소년의 인간관계에 영향을 받는 유의미한 요인으로는 부모와의 대화정도, 교사 존경정도, 친구관계 등에서 나타났다.
셋째, 청소년의 이타성은 종교를 가지고 있을수록 유의미하게 높다는 것이 나타났다. 생활수준이 높을수록 이타성이 높다는 것이 발견되었다. 청소년들과 부모들의 대화정도가 많을수록, 교사를 존경하는 경험이 많을수록 이타성이 유의미하게 높다는 것이 발견되었다.
넷째, 청소년의 사회적 책임성은 종교를 가지고 있을수록 유의미하게 높다는 것이 나타났다. 생활수준이 높을수록 사회적 책임성이 높다는 것이 발견되었다. 청소년의 학업성적도 성적이 높을수록 사회적 책임성이 높다는 것이 발견되었다.
다섯째, 부모와 대화가 잘 된다고 응답한 청소년일수록, 친구관계가 원만할수록 사회적 책임성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 봉사활동 내용에 따른 인성의 차이는 이타성, 사회적인 책임성이 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 봉사활동 만족에 대한 인성의 차이는 자아정체감, 이타성이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 봉사활동의 참여강도는 이타성과 사회적인 책임감 모두 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 지도감독과 평가를 잘 하는 것이 사회적인 책임성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 자원봉사 활동 사전교육 유무에 따라 청소년의 인성에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지에 대해서 조사한 결과 사회적 책임성에만 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
이상의 조사결과를 토대로 제언내용은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 청소년 개인적 측면에서 청소년들이 자신의 주변에서부터 친구들을 배려하는 자세와 기본 예절 및 질서를 지키는 지침을 스스로 마련하고 실천운동을 전개하도록 하는 도덕성 증진 방안이 선행되어야 하며,
둘째, 학교의 개입측면에서 학교의 여건은 봉사활동을 제대로 지도하기 위해 지역사회 자원과 학부모 자원을 체계적으로 조직하고 연계할 수 있는 전문성을 양성하고 지도하기 위해 필요한 정보를 수집하고 봉사수요처를 개발해야 하는 과업을 수행할 수 있는 제도화의 움직임이 제고되어야 한다.
셋째, 자원봉사센터의 개입측면에서 청소년 자원봉사활동이 활성화 되도록 학교, 학부모, 대학을 중심으로 한 지역사회 자원, 봉사 수요처인 기관들의 협의체를 만들어 민간 주도적 자원봉사운동을 전개해 나가야 하며 특히 지역자원봉사센터가 청소년 자원봉사활동이 지속적으로 전개해 나가도록 지원·수행되어야 한다.
따라서 청소년 자원봉사를 통해 인성개발이 중요하다. 이를 위해 청소년들에게 적합한 프로그램이 개발이 되어야 하며, 학교에서 체계적인 관심을 가지고 지도를 하여야 한다. 또한 봉사활동 참여강도를 증진시키고, 자원봉사자의 효과적인 관리 및 지도감독을 위해서 지도감독 평가체계를 확립하여야 하며 사전교육을 강화해야 할 것이다.

Modern society burdens teenagers with various social phenomena and experiences that they could do without in the past. Modern IT society furnishes teenagers with various educational and character forming elements and gives great influence on the growth of teenagers.
To solve various problems, schools furnished them with various volunteer systems. School authorities recommend them volunteer activities and made it a rule to serve a certain hours as volunteer works.
This is a thesis on the change of the character of teenagers who execute volunteer activities. I surveyed how much influence their volunteer works had on their social responsibilities, self-realization and moral achievement and analyzed the difference of character between the student who voluntarily takes part in and who does not. The main object of this survey is to emphasize the importance of teenager's volunteer service and to develop its programs which necessarily influence on teenagers' character forming.
First, I realized how much effect their volunteer activities had on their character forming(self-realization, thinking of other's interest, and social responsibilities)
second, by proposing various activities that teenagers hopefully can achieve, they can activities that teenagers hopefully can achieve, they can activate their activities.
The result of this survey can be summarized as follows:
First, the elements which influence on their character forming are living standard and school grade, and the elements which influence on their human relationship are the frequency of conversation with their parents, the respect of their teachers and relationship with their friends.

Third, their consideration of others is deeper according as they have religion or not, their living standard is high or low, their frequency of conversation with parents is high or not and they respect their teachers or not.
Fourth, their social responsibilities is high according as they have religion or not, their living standard is high or not, and their school grade is excellent or not.
Fifth, this survey shows that their social responsibilities are high according as the conversation with their parents is more frequent and the relationship with their friends is more harmonious, and the content of their volunteer work affects their character forming. the degree of the satisfaction with their work also affect their character forming.
Sixth, their zeal for volunteer activities is greater according to their social responsibilities grow stronger according as they get more guidance, supervision and better evaluation. The survey shows their social responsibilities become stronger as they get volunteer education in advance.
Propositions on the basis of this survey are as follows:
First, as far as teenagers are concerned, moral increasing plan should be set up in advance in order that they may make a basic guideline to be considerate of their friends, keep manners, order and rules and carry them out.
Second, schools should gather necessary information about volunteer activities and discover the places to serve as many as possible. Schools should set up a plan to educate, organize the volunteers in each field systematically and connect them with necessary places.
Third, volunteer center should make a conference group including schools, parents and universities and connect them with the organization which needs volunteer services. Volunteer center should support the teenager volunteer services and keep them up for good.
Therefore, character forming through volunteer activities is of importance to teenagers. Suitable programs should be developed for them. Schools should have continuous interest and guide them, they should find places to be served by teenagers, and should establish evaluation in advance.
