영아발달에 대한 어머니의 기대에 관한 연구 = (A) study on mother's expectation for infant development

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 어머니의 유아발달관과 유아발달에 대한 기대를 조사하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 구체적인 연구문제를 다음과 같이 설정하였다.
1. 어머니의 유아발달관의 전체적인 경향성은 어떠한가?
2. 어머니의 유아발달관은 어머니의 연령, 학력, 계층, 자녀수에 따라 차이가 있는가 ?
3. 어머니의 유아발달에 대한 기대의 전체적인 경향성은 어떠한가?
4. 어머니의 유아발달에 대한 기대는 어머니의 연령, 학력, 계층 자녀수에 따라 차이가 있는가?
본 연구는 서울시 3개구에 거주하며, 0-36개월의 자녀를 둔 어머니 86명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구방법으로는 질문지를 통한 면접을 사용하였으며, 조사도구로는 이 원영의 자녀교육관 조사지, 연구자가 작성한 유아의 발달에 대한 어머니의 기대 조사지를 사용하였다.
수집된 자료는 하위 영역별 평균치를 산출한 후, t-test와 일원 변량분석을 사용하여 변인별 유의도를 검증하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
1.어머니들은 유아의 발달에 있어 환경적 경험의 영향을 강조하는 반면, 발달의 과정을 중요시하여 유아의 흥미를 존중하고 유아를 활동의 주체로서 파악하였다. 또한 자녀에 대한 평가에서는 긍정적이거나 부정적인 어느 한 극단에 치우치지 않는, 중간적인 입장을 취하는 것으로 나타났다.
2. 어머니의 유아발달관은 어머니의 연령, 학력, 계층, 자녀수 등의 변인 중 학력과 계층에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다.
3. 유아발달에 대한 어머니의 기대에서는 발달 영역에 따라 기대하는 시기와 기대의 정확도에 있어 차이가 나타났다. 어머니들은 신체, 인지, 언어 사회성 발달 4개 발달영역 중 신체 발달과 언어 발달은 빠른 시기에 발달하는 것으로 기대하는 반면, 인지 발달과 사회성 발달은 늦은 시기에 발달하는 것으로 기대하였다. 정확도에 있어서는 4개 발달 영역간에 큰 차이는 없었으나, 대체로 신체 발달은 정확하게 인지 발달은 부정확하게 기대하는 것으로 나타났다.
4. 어머니들의 유아 발달에 대한 기대는 어머니의 연령, 학력, 계층, 자녀수에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Purpose of this study is to find out mother's view of and expectation for infant development.
Concrete questions for this study are as follows
1. How is mother's view tendency of infant development ?
2. Does the mother's view of development show significant difference according to variances? (mother's academic level, mother's socio-economic status, mother's age, number of child)
3. How is mother's expectation tendency for infant development?
4. Does the mother's expectation for infant development show signifcant difference according to variances ?
Subject of this study were 186 mothers ( their children range from one month to thirty six months) at three districts in Seoul. The method of this study was the interview with questionaire.
Gathered data were analyzed by averages. For the significance test according to variances, t-test and one way-Anova were used.
Results of this study were as follows;
1. Mothers Viewed that infant development was influenced by environmental experiencies more than heridity. But mothers respected their children's interest and experiences, and attached greater importance to developmental process than developmental purpose. They regard early children as subjects of activity
2. According to mothers' academic level and socio-economic statas, significant differences were produced in mothers' view of infant development.
3. Mothers expected that physical development and language development occured early but cognitive development and social development occured late.
And mothers expected for physical development the most accurtely but cognitive development the least accurately of four development (physical, cognitive, social language development)
4. According to mothers' academic level and socio-economic Status and number of their children, significant differences were produced in mothers' expectation for infant development.
