That is, if they had more open communications, students adapted to school more easily. if they had a rather problematic communications, the result was the opposite. With regards to upbringing attitude of parents, in case of high care and low overprotection, they adapted better, but in case of low care and overprotection, the result was reverse. Also, the higher family cohesion and adaptability was, the better students adjusted at school.

The study indicated that open communications(Beta .193) had a biggest influence on school adjustment, followed by family cohesion(Beta .192), gender(Beta .100) and family adaptability(Beta .088).
As a result, this study showed that psychological relationship factor such as the relationship with parents was very important as a factor affecting school adjustment. The problem of school adjustment could be interpreted as a form of expression of a conflict and problem derived from the relationship with their parents.
However, parents now are having a lot of difficulty in relationships failing to understand their children who change faster than before and to fulfill their needs. Therefore, one of the solution for this is to allocate a professional(School Social Work) at school, make various program(family counseling, family camp, parent education, roll playing, etc.) and put the program into practice for better adolescent-parent relationship. Most of all, parents have to make great efforts for more positive relationship with their children to help them adjust better to school.
