The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of painting and story-telling activities for musical hearing on the development of kindergarten children's creativity. To achieve this purpose, 60 kindergarten children aged 5 were sampled in Ansan-city and they were assigned to an experimental group or a comparative group. The painting and story-telling activities for musical hearing programmes composed of 12 activities were given to the experimental group for 7 weeks, and the 'Creativity Test' was administered to the experimental group and the comparative group for pre-test and post-test.
The collected date were coded and analysed by SPSS/PC+programmes. The t-test was used to analyze the effects of painting and story-telling activities for musical hearing on the development of creativity.
The major findings of this study were as follows:
First, it was found that the post-test scores of the experimental group(M=2.77, SD=1.22) were significantly higher than those of the comparative group(M=2.57, SD= .82) in fluency of creativity[t=3.89, p< .05].
Second, it was found that the post-test scores of the experimental group(M=1.78, SD= .75) were signficantly higher than those of the comparative group(M=1.69. SD= .61) in flexibility of creativity[t=2.57, p< .05].
Third, it was found that the post-test scores of the experimental group(M= .98, SD .67) were significntly higher than those of the comparative group(M= .68, SD= .59) in originality of creativity[t=2.84, p< .05].
Fourth, it was found that the post-test scores of the experimental group(M=1.84, SD= .83) were significantly higher than those of the comparative group(M=1.71, SD= .62) overall creativity[t=3.79, p< .05].
Thereore, it could be said that painting and story-telling activities for musical hearing for the development of kindergarten children's creativity.
Following was change of kindergarten children's creative expression through painting and story-telling activities for musical hearing programmes.
First, I found that children's expression change the creative world composition from regeneration of simple experience. Second, I found that children‘s expression change various sentences form simple sentence.
