This study aims to highlight the basic data collected to show the connection between the environmental education curriculums of kindergarten and primary school by analyzing object, contents, and forms of activity environmental education, focusing on the curriculums used in the kindergarten and 1st, 2th grade of primary school.
To sum up this study,
1) I compared and analyzed the 6 grade curriculum of kindergarten and the 7 grade curriculum of primary school, especially the 1st and 2st grade. Both curriculums' aims are to study basic ways of living, norms and order.
In the kindergarten curriculum it specifies health, appreciation of surroundings and environment, health and safety and on, appreciation of nature. It also specifies the need to have a appreciation of life by presenting animal and plant features.
2) I compared and analyzed the contents of the environmental education curriculum of 6 grade kindergarten and the 7 grade primary school curriculum for the 1st, 2th grade. It was shown follows that both curriculums deal with the change of seasons, nature and surroundings, animals and plants, day and night, using facilities for play, observing traffic regulations and order, arrangement thing to put in good order, concepts of implement, being familiar with the surroundings of the kindergarten and the school, use of articles and water conservation, recycling, respect others, garbage, reducing trash, conservation of nature, correct eating habits, etc.
In the kindergarten curriculum it deals with the their following, concern about the Earth, sun, moon, neighborhood, the importance of machines and food correct, use of electricity, the concept of sharing, treating books with care, separation of trash, coping with a polluted environment safely, knowing to way from disaster, how to keep their surroundings clean how to stay health.
In the primary school it classified fruits and seeds, changes in time, the features of water, a shadow of objects, vehicles, leaning about the structure and interior of a house, studying healthy food, proper eating habits.
3) I compared and analyzed the forms of activity in environmental education found in the 20 activity guide books of the kindergarten curriculum and the teacher's guide book for the 1st and 2th grade curriculum in the primary school.
Both curriculums empathize the spheres of the natural and artificial environments. They deal principally, with conversation and play activities as ways of teaching environmental education.
