유아부모의 학력에 따른 책임의식, 양육태도, 스트레스의 상호관계 = (A) Study on the Correlation between Responsibility, Rearing Attitudes and Rearing-related Stress in accordance with the Scholastic Attainments of the Parents of Infants

The purpose of this study was to furnish information when projecting the systematic parental education or planing the service of parental support.
For attainting the purpose, the following research Questions were posed:
1. How's the Responsibilities by parental academic background?
2. How's the Rearing-attitude by parental academic background?
3. How's the Rearing-stress by parental academic background?
4. Is there any relationship with Responsibilities and Rearing-attitude?
5. Is there any relationship with Responsibilities and Rearing-stress?
6. Is there any relationship with Rearing-attitude and Rearing-stress?

I worked with a total of 311 parents whose children are attending kindergartens and children's houses located in the city of Taegu: The children's ages range from 4 to seven. I resorted to Abidin's Parenting Stress Index(PSI) rendered into Korean by Seo Hye-yong with a view to evaluate the parenting stress of the subjects.
I made use of a questionnaire produced by Mun Hyeong-man, who modified a question made by Sang Hyeong-ja and Oh hwa-sim in reference of Shaefer's Maternal Behavior Research Instrument(MBRI), with a view to grasping the fostering attitude of the subjects. And I depended on Gilbert's and Hanson's Perception of Parental Role Responsibilities Seals(PPRS) translated by Ban Eun-ryeong so as to measure 'the parents' sense of responsibilities for parenting roles.'
I evaluate the average and standard deviation of a sense of responsibility, rearing attitudes and rearing stress to make an analysis of data, carrying out f-test. I also evaluate Pearson's correlation coefficient with the view of finding out the correlation. All the analyses used in this study are statistically treated with the help of SPSS.
I have come up with the following findings.
First, the test, on the relationship between the subject's sense of responsibility, parenting attitudes and fostering stress in accordance with their scholastic attainments shows that the higher scholastic attainments they have, the higher their scores of responsibility are. On the other hand, the scholastic attainments of the subjects have nothing to do with their parenting attitudes and stress.
Second, parents' sense of responsibility proves to be significantly related with their rearing attitudes, but there is no significant correlation between parenting attitudes and stress and between parents' sense of responsibility and fostering stress.
