The present study investigated the effect of the educational intervention with fairy tale on young children's creativity.
The following research questions were examined in the study.
Question 1. What are the effects of the educational intervention with fairy tale on young children's creativity?
1-1 What are the effects of the educational intervention with fairy tale on young children's fluency?
1-2 What are the effects of the educational intervention with fairy tale on young children's orginality?
1-3 What are the effects of the educational intervention with fairy tale on young children's abstractness of title?
1-4 What are the effects of the educational intervention with fairy tale on young children's elaboration?
1-5 What are the effects of the educational intervention with fairy tale on young children's resistance to premature?
1-6 What are the effects of the educational intervention with fairy tale on young children's creative strengths?
Sixty, five-year-old kindergarten children in Seoul participated. They were divided into an experimental and a control group. Among them, 30 subject were grouped as experimental group. The experimental group was intervened with fairy-tale of teacher during four weeks.
The collected data were analyzed with the repeated measure analysis of t-test.
The results of this study were as follows :
The creative intervention with fairy-tale improved young children's creativity and six sub-components of creativity were improved. Young children's fluency, originality, elaboration, and creative strengths were improved. In conclusion, The experimental group is more improved young children's creativity.
