청소년의 문화성향과 내외통제성 및 또래동조성의 관계 = On the Relation Adolescents' Cultural Tendency, Internal-External Locus of Control and Peer Conformity

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년기 특징 중의 하나인 또래동조성을 생활수준, 성별, 문화성향, 내외통제성을 통해서 살펴봄으로써 청소년들에 대한 이해를 넓히는 기초자료를 제공하고자 했다.
연구 대상은 서울과 신도시 지역 중에서 생활수준과 성별에 따른 주거지역을 고려하여 총 6개교의 고등학교 1학년생 540명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다.

본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.

첫째, 청소년들의 또래동조성의 배경요인으로 생활수준이 높을수록 중립적 행동에 대한 또래동조성이 낮게 나타났다. 남학생이 여학생보다 중립적 행동과 반사회적 행동 모두에서 또래동조성이 높았다.

둘째, 문화성향에 따라 중립적 행동에 대한 또래동조성에 차이가 나타났다. 개인중심성향이 낮을수록, 집단중심성향이 높을수록 중립적 행동에 대한 또래동조성이 높았다.

셋째, 내외통제성에 따라 반사회적 행동에 대한 또래동조성에 차이가 나타났다. 내적통제성이 낮을수록, 외적통제성이 높을수록 반사회적 행동에 대한 또래동조성이 높았다.

넷째, 문화성향과 내외통제성, 또래동조성과의 관계에서 문화성향이 중립적 행동에 대한 또래동조성에 유의미한 영향을 미치며, 내외통제성이 반사회적 행동에 대한 또래동조성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구의 결과가 또래집단의 영향력이 커지는 청소년기에 나타나는 또래동조성을 이해하며, 나아가 또래동조성으로 인해 나타나는 청소년들의 문제를 이해하고 해결하는데 작게나마 도움이 되기를 희망한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was attempted to find out the differences among adolescents' peer conformity according to their economic level, sex, cultural tendency and internal-external locus of control; furthermore, it was attempted to test the effects of cultural tendency and internal-external locus of control on peer conformity. The subjects were 540 male and female students selected from the 1st grade high school students in Seoul and Boondang city.

The results of the study were as follows;

First, there were significant differences in peer conformity to neutral behavior according to their economic level. Peer conformity to neutral behavior was proved to get higher in the high economic level; however, there were no significant differences in peer conformity to antisocial behavior.
Second, there were significant differences in peer conformity to both neutral behavior and antisocial behavior according to their sex. Male students were higher than female students in peer conformity.
Third, there were significant differences in peer conformity to neutral behavior according to their cultural tendency. Peer conformity to neutral behavior was proved to get higher in the high allocentric level and the low idiocentric level; however, there were no significant differences in peer conformity to antisocial behavior.
Fourth, there were significant differences in peer conformity to antisocial behavior according to their internal-external locus of control. Peer conformity to antisocial behavior was proved to get higher in the low internal locus of control and the high external locus of control; however, there were no significant differences in peer conformity to neutral behavior.
Fifth, there were significant effects of cultural tendency on peer conformity to neutral behavior and internal-external locus of control on peer conformity to antisocial behavior.

I hope this study will be contributed in not only understanding the peer conformity of adolescents affected by peer group but also solving their problems with peer conformity.
