초등학생의 여가 활동 개선에 관한 연구 = (A) Study on Improvement in Leisure Activities of Elementary School Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학생의 여가 활동이 자아 실현과 개인의 인격 형성에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 보고, 초등학생의 여가 활동 실태를 파악하고 그 개선 방안을 찾기 위한 것이다.
이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 선행 연구를 분석하고 서울 시내 초등학교 학생 650명을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
첫째, 초등학생의 평일의 여가 활동은 컴퓨터 게임, 학원 가기, TV나 비디오 보기 순으로 나타났다.
둘째, 초등학생의 주말과 공휴일의 여가 활동은 컴퓨터 게임, TV나 비디오 보기, 종교 활동 순으로 나타났다.
셋째, 초등학생이 여가 활동으로 해 보고 싶은 운동은 스키, 축구, 수영 순으로 나타났다.
넷째, 초등학생의 약 4/5가 학원을 다니고 있으며, 수학, 외국어, 전과목 학원의 순으로 수강하고, 평균 2.4개의 학원을 주 3회 수강하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
다섯째, 학교에서 실시하는 특기적성교육 활동은 약 1/5의 학생이 참여하고 있다.
여섯째, 초등학생이 원하는 여가 시설은 체육 시설, 도서관, PC방 순으로 나타났다.
본 연구 결과 초등학생의 여가 활동이 컴퓨터 게임에 치중되어 있는 것으로 나타나, 건전하고 교육적인 프로그램의 개발과 아울러 신체 발달을 위한 체육 활동과 공동체 의식을 기르는 여가활동이 강조되어야 한다.
또한 자녀들의 여가 활동에 대한 학부모의 인식이 제고되어야 하며, 학교교육에서 학생들의 여가 활동에 대해 관심이 높아져야 하고, 지역 사회의 여가 시설과 여가 공간이 확충되어야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual conditions on leisure activities of elementary school students and to provide an improvement in the activities, based on the thought that the leisure activities of elementary school students play an important role in self-realization and the formation of personality.
For this purpose, the prior studies were analyzed and the questionnaire survey was adopted based on the study of 650 elementary school students in Seoul. The findings of this survey were as follows:
First, it was shown that the leisure activities of the students on the weekdays are playing computer games, going to institute and watching TV or videotape in order.
Second, it was shown that the leisure activities of the students on the weekend and holidays are playing computer games, watching TV or videotape and, religion activities in order.
Third, it was shown that the exercises that the students desire to take as leisure activities are skiing, football and swimming in order.
Fourth, it was shown that about four-fifths of the students attend institute and sign up the courses for mathematics, foreign language and whole subjects in order, at an average of 2.4 courses three times a week.
Fifth, it was shown that about one fifth of the students attend the educational activities for specialty-aptitude in elementary school.
Sixth, it was shown that leisure facilities that the students want to have is gym, library and PC room in order.
In conclusion, since the leisure activities of the elementary school students put value on playing computer games, the physical training-activities for physical development and leisure activities for community spirit should be emphasized, together with the development of the sound and educational program.
Also, the thinking-method of the parents about the leisure activities of the students should be leveled up. In school, interest in the leisure activities of the students should be increased, and furthermore leisure facilities and leisure space in a community should be provided.
