초등학교 통합 교육과정 확대 운영 방안에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 현행 초등학교 통합교육과정을 분석해 보고 통합 교육과정 운영에 대한 대안을 제시하고자 하였다. 문헌을 근거로 하여 통합교육과정에 대한 이론적인 근거를 명확히 하고, 통합교육과정 확대 운영에 대한 방안을 제시하였다.
위의 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구 방법을 사용하였다.
1. 통합교육과정의 이론을 고찰하는 데에는 국내외의 서적과 논문, 정기 간행 문을 이용하였다.
2. 통합교육과정의 적용 대상 학년을 확대하는 데는 피아제의 '인지발달이론'을 근거로 하였다.
3. 통합 교육과정 확대 운영 방안으로 초등학교 2학년 1학기 교과서와 지도서를 분석하여 공통 소재 중심의 통합 단원을 개발하고 운영하는 방안을 제시하였다.
위의 과정을 통하여 연구자가 제안한 통합교육과정 확대 운영에 대한 방안을 제시하면 다음과 같다.
1. 초등학교 통합교육과정의 적용 대상 학년을 4학년까지 확대하여야 한다. 아동의 인지 발달이 점차적으로 분화한다는 점과 학습내용의 수준을 낮추어 적정화를 기한다는 점등을 고려하여 4학년까지 적용하여야 한다.
2. 통합교육과정을 확대 운영한다는 관점에서 학교 수준의 교육과정을 통합하여 운영할 수 있는 방안으로 통합단원을 개발·운영하는 예를 제시하였다. 통합단원의 운영과 개발은 2학년 1학기의 교과서와 지도서를 검토한 후 각 교과에서 다루는 주요 제재들 중 여러 교과에 걸치는 공통제재를 추출하여 6개의 주제를 결정하였다. 6개의 주제는 친구, 우리 몸, 그림자, 이웃, 시간, 여름 방학이다. 이들 주제를 중심으로 6개의 통합단원을 개발·운영하도록 하였다. 6개의 통합단원은 연간 진도 계획표에 포함되어 운영되었고, 적절한 실내 환경과 실외 환경을 조성하여 운영하였다. 통합 단원에 필요한 수업 자료는 편지지, 도화지, 크레파스, 물감, 모형 시계, 리듬악기, 달력, 수영복, 수영 모자, 물안경, 밝은 조명 등이었다.
이 연구에서는 통합교육과정을 운영하는데 통합교육과정의 적용 대상학년을 확대하고, 이와 같은 맥락에서 학교 수준의 통합교육과정을 개발하여 운영할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study is to search for the measures to improve the integrated curriculum of elementary school. The specific objectives are (1) to investigate theories of the integrated curriculum―it's history, justification.
(2) to present the measures for the curriculum improvement
The methods include the documentary analysis and interview. The mater referred are the books, periodicals, research articles on the integrated curriculum and curriculum guide were reviewed.
Integration has been regarded as important from primitive ages.
The intergration can be justified in regard to a great amount of knowledge of subject matter, the child under developed, the characteristics of changing society and humanistic educational philosophy.
For the improvement of the integrated curriculum,
The followings are suggested
(1) The integrated curriculum should be applied up to fourth grade.
(2) It is suggested that the integrated curriculum should be applied to first grade and second grade student, both the integrated curriculum and subject centered curriculum should be stmultaneously to third and fourth grade student.
(3) The improvement of the integrated unit is improved in second grade textbooks and teacher's guide books.
The improvement of the integrated units are unit of six ― friends, our body, the shadow, the neighborhood, the time, summer vacation.
The improvement of the integrated units are managed in a teaching schedule for the term.
The improvement of the integrated units are managed in proper enviorment ― enviorment of indoor, enviorment of outdoor.
It used the various materials of instruction ― letter paper, drawing paper, dyestuffs, a pastel crayon, watch, a musical instrument, a calendar, a swimming cap, a swimming suit, diver's goggles, illumination etc.
It suggested the measure for the school level integrated curriculum.
