    This study was intended to present the material necessary for maintaining the shoes won by adult women from a physiological perspective.
    For this purpose 350 college women in universities located in seoul were selected and the questionnaire research was conducted over the period between Apr. 28. 1997 and May 7, 1997. The reality of the damage of shoes to feet was surveyed in this process. Boots, thick-heeled shoes, high-heeled shoes and low shoes were selected and human body wearing experiment was carried out for 4 subjects under the laboratory condition of 15±1℃, 28±1℃ and 50±10%R.H. Over the period between Apr. 4, 1997 and May 22. By doing so, on attempt was made to investigate skin temperature, armpit temperature, blood pressure, heat rate, and subjective sense.
    As a result the following conclusion was drawn :
    1. The questionnaire survey revealed that college women wore a form of mule in summer, boots and low shoes in winter.
    It was surveyed that and form of shoes had on effect on feats irregardless of the type of shoes, but it was investigated that the form of shoes had an effect on whole-body fatigue, headache and waistache.
    2. The human body wearing experiment showed significance in armpit temperature, blood pressure, heart rate. There was almost no difference between types of shoes at a low temperature, but it was shown that boots and heeled shoes exerted a physiological burden on the human body.
    As discussed above, it was investigated that shoes exerted an great effect on feet as well as the human body according to the form of shoes. Therefore, it is thought that people could have a considerable burden according to the form of shoes when wearing shoes.
