The purpose of this study was to find the relationship between mother's childrearing attitudes and adjustment on schoollife.
The problems to be solved for this purpose were as follows.
1) In what shape does the reality of the mother's rearing attitude appear?
2) In what shape does the reality of the children's adjustment to schoollife appear?
3) To what degree does the mother's attitude relate with children's adjustment to schoollife?
4) Are there the differences between boys and girls in the adjustment to schoollife according to the mother's rearing attitude?
The process of the treatment with the materials was that subjects of this study were 205 children (comparing sex, subjects were used boys 76 persons and girls 111 persons except 18 persons who are not moderated).
The instruments of this study was the questionnairs made this researcher.
Date were treated using frequency, percentile and χ^(2) by SPSS program.
Major findings of this study were as follows.
1) There are the most frequency of affective-autonomous model and the more frequency of affective-reject model than affective-control model in the reality of mother's rearing attitude.
2) The kinds of the superior adjustment on schoollife were human relationship with teacher in charge and obeying school rule but learning domain is the least score in the reality of adjustment on schoollife.
3) In relationship between the mother's rearing attitude and the adjustment on schoollife, high score of the human relationship with teacher in charge, the friendship, learning, obeying school rule and the participation school events belongs to children from affective - autonomous model and low score belongs to the affective - reject model.
4) Comparing sex on relationship between the mother's rearing attitude and the adjustment on schoollife, girl children is superior to boy children in the human relationship with teacher in charge, friendship, learing, obeying school rule and participation of school events but boy children from the affective -control model is superior to girls in the human relationship with teacher in charge, obeying school rule, and the participation of school events
