The purpose of this study is to analyze depression propensity, depression symptoms and depression-response behaviors of College Enterance Exam. Repeaters.
The problems dealt with in this study are as follow ;
Problem 1 : How are depression propensity in College Enterance Exam. Repeaters?
Problem 2 : What are particular depression symptoms in College Enterance Exam. Repeaters?
Problem 3 : What are general depression-response behaviors in College Enterance Exam. Repeaters?
Problem 4 : How often do they depression-response behaviors and how much are they helped by doing depression-response behaviors?
The subjects of this study were 156 College Enterance Exam. Repeaters and 162 college students.
For this study BDI, SDS of Jung and Depression-Response Behavior Questionaire of Won were used.
Conclusions of this study obtained from results and discussions are as follow.
1. 28.85% of College Enterance Exam. Repeaters had depression. There was no significant differance between College Enterance Exam. Repeaters and the college students of similar age.
2. Among College Enterance Exam. Repeaters' particular depression symptoms, those ranked high were ; confusion, delay, indecisiveness, periodic mood swing, feeling emptyness, those ranked low were ; sleeplessness, constipation, weight-losing, fretfulness, thinking suicide repeatedly.
3. In the number of respondents to consensual behaviors, the followings were ranked high ; listening music, sleeping, conversation with friend, thinking, shopping and the other things, watching TV (movie), the followings were ranked low ; conversation with family, travelling, praying, writing a letter, scribbling.
4. In the frequency of depression-response behaviors and the i.degree of helpfulness from doing depression-response behaviors, there was not any significant difference between the College Enterance Exam. Repeaters and any other group.
