A study shown in the preface, I considered that the Religion - transmission is not simple spread of the tenet, but under the proposition which derived effects permeating to total life rituals is large, We considered about our life rituals, the ceremonial occasion which begins to change in addition to Buddhism - transmission. At this time, if replacing summary opf contents with conclusion, it is as follows.
Above all, the situation after Buddhism is entrance in our country, roughly speaking, can be explained as native convictions.
That is,this is Pung Ryu(風流) itself expressing our racial native convictions. This is not being made absorbing the elements of confucianism and Buddhism and Taoism, Three religion, but is a universal character being compoesed of above-mentioned religion in itself.
The second, the questioned point is in the method which Buddhism - ritual harmonized with ours on the basis of Buddhism - transmission. This can be achieved synchronizing with the facts Buddhism penetrated to native people in the introduction of Zen Buddhism and spread-process. Therefore, at last The Buddhism - ritual seems to take root in life - ritual.
As a result, in the Buddhism - Society, as what degree did Buddhism - ritual cometo hold, in relation with this, above all, as Buddhism brought up in Silla Dynasty linked with Koryo. We can think the position of Korea Buddhism decided all the Korean - national fortune. In other respects, in the Koryo - political affairs - management, we must recognize the facts that Koryo depended on the system of confucianism, in other words, above - mentioned system was situation of Koryo society.
Then, therefore we can know life - ritual opf mourning, funeral, religious ceremonies etc. were acted by Buddhism - ritual.
That is, The facts that in the mourning 49 day system was adopted in the funeral the cremation, in the religious ceremonies tea ceremonies was generally dominant in Koryo society give a witness.
As a result, After Buddhism - transmission, The Buddhism - ritual took the roots in Silla dynasty and became prevalent in Koryo period.
