形容動詞의 形態와 機能에 關한 考察 : 形容動詞를 하나의 品詞로 認定하는 立場에서 = (A) Study on the forms and functions of Attributive Verb : Regarding Attributive Verb as a part of speech

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is about the forms and functions of Attributive Verb in Japanese. This term of Attributive Verb is not easy for us to understand well.
I'll try to find the position of Attributive Verb in national language of Japan through observing the whole nature of Attributive Verb.
First, in the main subject, I examined the obstract and the origin of Attributive Verb, how it was named.
Second, I looked into the theory of Yoshizawa-yoshinori, Hashimoto-shinkichi, Tokieda-motoki, Mizutani-shizuo.
Third, I observed the inflectional forms of Attributive Verb in general. The main characteristics is following.
Attributive Verb has a special usage and「-ni」 form of adverbial usage like an Adjective, and differs from forms of Shushi and Rentai.
Fourth, the kind of Attributive Verb is composed of three kinds. The first type is Attributive Verb which is formed of pure-Japanese. The second type is Attributive Verb which is formed of Chinese Character. The third type is Attributive Verb which is formed of the words of foreign origin.
Finally, characteristics of word-structure of Attributive Verb is following.
1. Noun+da
2. Nounal repeated-word+da
3. Ren'yo-form of verb+da
4. Noun+Ren'yo-form of verb+da
5. Noun+stem of Adjective+da
6. Noun+Noun+da
7. Noun+Attributive Verb+da
8. Ren'yo-form of verb+Noun+da
9. Other words+da
As a result of above observation, Attributive Verb is a word which singularly can be a predicate, and the concept of Attributive which represents the nature and condition of things.
Because Attributive Verb is strictly distinguished from Adjective and Verb, When it comes to forms and functions of Attributive Verb, it's better to categorize Attributive Verb as a part of speech.
