정신지체 아동을 위한 음악 요법 = (A) Study on the Music Therapy for a Mentally-handcapped Child

국문 초록 (Abstract)

음악 요법은 음악의 기능과 치료의 기능을 복합시킨 개념이다 음악이 변화의 매개물로서 치료적인 관계를 형성하도록 해 주고 인간의 성장 발달을 도와주며 대인 관계를 촉진시키고 자아실현을 도와주며 개인의 사회 참여를 도울 때, 그 과정이 바로 음악 요법이 된다.
음악 요법적 관점에서 보면, 음악은 문화권을 넘어서서 감정을 표현할 수 있는 도구이며, 언어를 필요로 하지 않는 비언어적 커뮤니케이션의 대표적 도구이며, 소리라는 매개체로 사람의 몸과 마음에 직접적이며 순간적으로 작용하기 때문에 치료 대상의 지능 수준에 상관 없이 어떤 환경에서도 생리적인 반응을 유도할 수 있고, 자아 성찰을 돕고 타인과의 관계를 형성시키고 학습에 도움을 준다. 이렇게 음악 요법은 인간 행동의 한 조건으로 건강을 위해 음악을 사용하는 것이다.
정신 지체아에 있어서 가장 문제가 되는 언어적 의사 소통 장애, 인지 능력 발달 지체와 감각 운동 능력 발달 지체 등이며 이를 교정하기위한 진단별 음악 요법 프로그램 개발이 절실히 필요하다는 점은 널리 인식되고 있다.
이에 본 연구는 사회적 대인 지각 능력, 의사소통 표현 능력, 사회적 작업 능력, 자기 신변 처리 능력이 낮은 정신 지체 아동이 일정 음악요법 프로그램의 음악 치료를 통해 유의미한 성숙을 보일 수 있는가를 밝히고자 하였다.
검사 도구로는 표준화된 지능 검사(1.0. Test)와 사회적 대인 지각 능력, 의사 소통의 표현 능력, 사회적 작업 능력, 자기 신변 처리 능력의 네 가지로 나누어 사회 성숙도 검사를 하고, 가창 · 리듬 · 감상 등 3 가지 음악 반응 검사를 하였다.
연구 결과, 정신 지체 아동들의 행동 발달과 행동 수정에 의미있는 효과가 있어서 음악 요법의 실제적 효용성을 검증할 수 있었다. 그러나, 그 가능성은 가장 기본적인 단계로부터 지속적으로 집중하여 실시하여야 효과가 있다는 것도 아울러 밝혀졌다. 그리고 정신 지체 아동들에 대한 음악 요법은 관련된 분야의 교과 내용의 지도나 생활 지도와 연관시켜 매우 구체적인 상황 속에서 실시되어야 효과가 있다는 것을 발견하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Music therephy is an idea in which music and medical treatment mixed together.
When music as a medium helps form a remedical relation, it helps the develope growing factor, improve the relationships between people, and helps the self realization to social participation, the sequence is called music theraphy.
Since music at the point of view in medical treatment is a tool to let us express beyond the culture, non-verbal communication that does it need any language, to give effect to human body and mind immediately and directly through the medium of sound, it leads us to get some physical react, helps self reflection, form relationships between others, helps scholar improvement regardless of the Intellegent quality and under any circumstances.
Like the ways, music remedy as one of the conditions of human behavior is what we use for health.
With such feature of music remedy, we have desperate needs for developing programs to correct the trouble of communication and delay of mental, physical movement development in mentaly handicapped childrens are widely recognized and with this point of view I am going to perform the sutdy.
In this study, the researcher wants to show that a certain music remedy program can bear a meaningful mature on a handicapped child who's not capable of percieving society, communicating and expressing himself, performing social behavior, taking care of himself.
In this study, we need four tools to measure the social maturity - I.Q. test, percoption of society, expression in conversation, ability to take care of oneself. In addition to that, we made three musical reacton tests; singing, getting the rhythm, listening.
With he result of the study, it was trued we could prove that music remedy can give meaningful effects on the handicapped children.
But it was available only when we perform it from the most basic steps, gradually. And it was effective only when we perform it with the lectures in related section of study under practical situation to give information on what's the purpose of the remedy to the handicapped children who are taking the remedy.
