유치원교사의 환경교육에 관한 의식 및 실태조사연구 : 지역, 학력, 경력 변인을 중심으로 = (A) study on the kindergarten teachers' understanding of the environment education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 유치원 환경교육에 대한 교사들의 인식과 환경교육이 현장에서 어떻게 실시되고 있는지를 조사해봄으로써 앞으로 유치원 환경교육의 나아갈 바와 그 기초자료를 마련하는 데있다.
연구의 구체적인 문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 환경문제에 대하여 유치원 교사들은 어떻게 인식하고 있는가?
2. 유치원에서 환경교육 실태와 문제점및 요구사항은 무엇인가?
위의 문제를 알아보기 위하여 광주광역시내에 있는 교사148명과 전남도 내에 있는 교사 152명에게 질문지를 통해 조사하였다. 자료처리 및 통계적 방법은 연구대상자의 학력및 경력과 지역에 따라 문항별로 반응빈도와 백분율을 산출하였으며 그결과의 차이를 알아보고자 χ²검증을 하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
1. 유치원 교사들은 대부분이 환경문제를 심각하게 받아들이고 있으며 환경문제에 대해 피해자인 동시에 가해자라고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
환경문제중 가장 시급히 해결해야할 문제는 대부분이 쓰레기 문제라고 인식하고 있으나 농천지역에 근무하는 교사와 3년 이상이 된 교사인 경우는 수질오염이 환경문제중 가장 시급히 해결해야할 문제라고 인식하고 있다.
2. 대부분의 교사들이 약간의 환경교육 지식만을 보유하고 있다고 생각하며, 환경교육에 관한 연구 경험이 부족하고 재교육을 절실히 원하고 있으며 도시지역에 있는 교사보다 농촌지역에 있는 교사가 환경교육에 관한 재교육을 더 필요로 하고 있다.
3. 대부분의 교사들이 유치원에서 체계적인 환경교육이 반드시 필요하다라고 인식하고 있으며, 3년 미만의 교사보다 3년이상의 교사들이 전문대졸 교사보다 4년제대졸 이상의 교사들이 더욱더 체계적인 환경교육이 필요하다고 했다.
4. 대부분의 교사들이 환경교육을 효과적으로 실시하기 위해서는 현장학습이나 영상자료를 이용해야 한다고 인식하고 있으면서도 실제 수업 현장에서는 동화자료나 그림자료등을 활용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
5. 유치원에서 환경교육 실시상의 문제점은 교육자료 및 참고자료가 부족하다고 나타났으며 3년 이상의 교사보다 3년 미만의 교사가 교육자료 및 참고자료가 부족하다고 더 많이 인식하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study on the kindergaten teachers, understanding on the environment education will examine the understanding of the kindergaten teachers on the environment education in the kindergaren and how the environment education is being taught, through which the future of the environment education in the kindergarten and the basic data will be made.
The research problems are as follows :
1. How do the kindergarten teachers understand the education problem?
2. How is the environment education being taught?
what are the problem of the envionment education at the Kindergaten and the demands?
In order to find out the answers to those problems listed above, the research was done through the questionares and the subjects were 148 teachers of kwangju area and 152 teachers of junmam area. The data were analyzed according to the educational background, career, and the location. After that in each item the percentage was calculated according to the frequency. Lastly Test was used to know the difference of the results.
The results of this research were as follows:
1. Most of the teachers were feeling that the condition of the environmental pollution is serious(61.00%)
2. Many teachers feel that they only have a little knowledge about the environment education(69.57%)
3. Most of them also thought it necessary to teach the environment education systematically(86.33%)
4. They understand that in order to teach efficiently on-the-spot education(69.57%) and Audio-visual Data(24.75%) are to be used.
5. The problems of the environment education at the kindergarten is the lack of educational resourse and references(38.55%).
