    The researcher analyzed the origin and characteristic of Dong Rae Ya Ryu and compared its two aesthetic types of Won-Yangban-Chum danced by actors assumed as gentleman, Yangban and a servant or a stake, Maittugi.

    The results of the research can be summed up as follows.

    In the days of the THREE KINDOMS, mask dance took on anfestive and entertaining trait in addition to the magical function, in the KORYO DYNASTY it came to satirize the society and was divided in urban and rural kinds of dance in the YI DYNASTY.
    DONG RAE YA RYU belongs to the urban type of YEONG NAM dance and can be said to have originated from the area of YUL JI LEE, CHON-GUE by the NARK DONG to have oriented from the area of YUL JI LEE, CHO-CHE by the NARK DONG RIVER.
    The WONYANBAN and MALTTUGI dances share the same background characteristics with DONG RAE YA RYU and mostly rest on PAEGIM-SAWI, endurance motions of dancing.
    The gentleman dancing shows wide, round and monotonous movements and taking off the masjk, it will be the HAN-RYANG dance, while the MALTTUGI dance was the focus on the performance of the soword dance and mostly speared to jump.
    Though the WONYANBAN and MALTTUGI dances are largely similar to each other in basic movements, there details differ own role, nature, status and apparel among others.
    The original WONYANBAN dancing has an aesthetic value in dignity and sophistication, but the MALTTUGI dancing forms another aesthetic significance in staire, wit, and paradox, these two types of dancing create such a perfect harmony.
