敎師의 資質과 現職敎育에 관한 硏究

국문 초록 (Abstract)

敎師의 자질과 역할에 의해 敎育의 成果는 결정된다. 이는 교육과 관련된 여러 요인중 교사의 자질과 역할이 가장 중요하다는 것을 의미한다. 오늘날 사회가 급속도로 변화할 뿐만 아니라 지식과 과학기술의 팽창이 교사의 전문적 자질을 요구하고 있다.
이러한 사회 변화에 적응해 나가기 위해 교사는 보다 전문적이고 체계적인 교육을 습득하기 위해 끊임없이 노력해야 한다.
교직을 전문적으로 받아들이고 교직에 있어서의 전문성을 지속적으로 유지, 발전시키기 위해서도 계속적인 교육이 중요하므로 교사 양성 기관의 일정교육을 바탕으로한 현직교육이 중요하다. 교직의 전문화와 교사의 자질 향상을 위한 교사의 현직교육이 중요함에도 불구하고 현재 실시되고 있는 현직교육 제도는 그 역할을 다 하지 못하고 있는 실정이어서 보다 효과적인 교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 개선 방안을 도모해야 한다.
이에 본 연구는 현직교육을 교사의 개인적 자질 개선 뿐 아니라 교육 현장에서의 아동의 발달 및 교육의 질적 개선에 도움을 주기 위한 활동이어야 함을 인식하며 현직교육 제도의 문제점을 분석하고 개선 방안을 모색해 봄으로써 교사의 전문적 자질 향상에 기여하고자 한다. 그러므로 선행연구 자료와 문헌적 연구방법을 토대로한 내용은 다음과 같다.
전문직은 고도의 지식과 인격을 필요로하며 고도의 전문성을 바탕으로한 자율성이 최대한으로 보장되어야 하므로 교직 또한 이러한 의미에서 전문직으로 규정하였으며, 교사에게 요구되는 자질은 아동에 관한 포괄적인 이해, 교육 내용에 관한 폭넓은 지식, 교육의 사회적 기능에 따른 윤리의식, 교사가 교육과정을 최종적으로 마무리짓고 결정적 순간의 기능을 요구하며 효율성을 높일 수 있는 학습지도 방법을 갖추는 것이라 하였다.
현직교육은 일정한 자격을 갖고 해당직무에 대한 적응능력을 기르기 위해 의무적으로 부과되는 교육활동과 재직중 교원의 전문적 능력함양과 일반적인 자질 향상을 위해 자발적, 의무적으로 이루어지는 교육활동으로써 기관중심 현직교육, 학교중심 현직교육, 개인중심 현직 교육으로 구분하여 논술하였다.
현직교육의 변천과정은 광복후 현재까지 법령이 공포 시행, 개정됨에 따라 변화되어 왔음을 살펴보고, 현직교육의 개선 방안은 교사의 전문적 능력을 신장하고 교직의 직무 수행 능력을 향상시키기 위한 방향으로 평생 교육 체제의 원칙하에 이루어져야 한다는 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The result of education is decided by the nature and role of teachers.
It means that the nature and role of teachers is most important among factors which connect with education.
Nowadays, society changes at high speed. And in addition to this, expansion of knowledge and scientific thechnology demand professional nature of teachers.
To adapt themselves to social changes like this, teachers should make an endless effort that they may master more professional and systematic education.
Education in active service on the basis of fined education in a teacher tranining institute, is important, for continuous education is also important to regard a teaching profession as a special proffesion, to keep and develop continuously professionalism in a teaching profeesion.
Though teacher's education in active serve for specialization of teaching professin and teacher's nature betterment is important, the actual is that education in active service enforced at present can't do it's part completely, so a reform measure must be planned for more effective education.
So, this study intends to serve teacher's proffesional nature progress by perceiving that education in active service must be such an operation as help progress of children in education fields and qualitive improvemment of education, and trying to analyze the problems of education system in active service and grope a reform measure.
Therefore, contents based on the data of preceeding study and a literary study method are as follows.
A special profession needs high degree's knowledge and character, and autonomy on the basis of specialty must be secured to the utmost.
In that meaning I prescribed that teaching profession was also a special profession, and the nature whcih was demanded from teachers demanded inclusive apprehension on children, expansive knowledge about education contents, ethical consciousness according to the social function of education, a decisive instantaneous function that teachers finished lastly education course, and was being equipped with leading method that could raise efficiency.
I set forth education in active service, dividing into that of centering on institutions, schools, and individuals, as education working imposed obligatorily for developing adaptable capacity on present duties and complished spontaneously and obligatorily for special capacity fostering of teachers in office and ordinary nature developement.
The transition course of education in active service must be observed that it has been changed according to promulgation, enforcement, and reform of law from the Liberation up to now, and the imporvement plan of education in active service must be accomplished in such direction as emphasize thacher's specific capacity and improve duty performing capacity in teaching profession under the principle of life-long education system.
