Drawing is an art which expresses the feeling and willing of human beings. Particularly in the modern art, the pursuit of essence has evolved around the question of a level and facilitated the transition of concern from the visual truth to the speculative truth. While the former describes external experiences, the latter demonstrates internal experiences of human being.
The starting point of this study is two fold ; our understanding of art is a matter of factual feeling on one hand and it is a form of intuition based on senses on world of unconscousness but cannot be described by our reason and thought. Most efforts will be given to explain the indications of materials on the level, the interactions between the materials and spirit, and the way in which those interactions are expressed. All of these are discussed from the perspective of art history. By explaning the meaning of intuition in art the writer describes the inter relationships between conscousness and unconscousness and identify the expressions of internal world of human beings. This discussion includes accidental happenings and amusements which appear during the course of painting. The writer's works are analyzed in this sense and some future prospects are made in the end.
This study suggests that the essential questions of art should be approached from the unitary viewpoint on the existence of spirit and materials. By doing so the ultimate goals of art can be established in the future. Certainly spirit and materials are not separated, heterogeneous elements.
In sum, this study will be an important indicator for the writer's future works. It will provide logical Backgrounds and some sense of directions which enable th writer to pursue a unique world of drawings.
