본 연구에서는 세 가지 토픽 모델링 기법—LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation), ETM(Embedded Topic Model), CTM(Contextualized Topic Model)—을 적용하여, 악인들의 잠재적 공통 특성을 분석하였다.

illains have evolved over time, reflecting societal and cultural shifts across various media. In the modern era, villains are no longer limited to the role of antagonists; they are increasingly portrayed as independent characters with complex psychological developments and rich backstories. However, existing studies on villains have largely focused on individual characters within specific works, lacking a comprehensive analysis of the representative traits of villains across different media and historical contexts. Furthermore, traditional narrative datasets tend to be restricted to particular genres or formats, limiting the depth of analysis from a villain-centered perspective. To address these limitations, this study introduces the VillainScope dataset, which encompasses the traits of 209 villains featured in four types of media: animation, literature, film, and television drama. We applied three topic modeling techniques—Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), Embedded Topic Model (ETM), and Contextualized Topic Model (CTM)—to uncover latent commonalities among these characters. The analysis revealed that villains typically share traits such as high intelligence, involvement in crime, and frequent use of disguise. Among the models, ETM proved to be the most effective for maintaining both diversity and coherence in the analysis of specific character types. Building on these findings, we developed a system that classifies villain types and emotional states through emotion analysis and automatically generates dialogue using prompt-based language modeling. This research offers a comprehensive analysis of villain traits and proposes the most suitable topic modeling method for analyzing specific character types, thereby suggesting its potential application in game content design.
