都市民의 定住.커뮤니티 意識에 관한 硏究 = (A)study on the settlement-community consciousness of inhabitants in the urban area

국문 초록 (Abstract)

計劃過程에서의 올바른 目標設定을 위해서는 社會的 現象에 대한 흐름을 이해할 필요가 있다. 특히, 都市 周邊에 일정한 規模의 커뮤니티를 計劃하기 위해서, 혹은 地域的 커뮤니티의 바람직한 方向性을 提示하기 위해서는 都市社會現象과 그에 따른 住民意識에 대한 理解가 先行되어야 한다.
이 硏究는 도시 주변의 커뮤니티를 計劃함에 있어서, 計劃의 방향과 評價의 基準에 대한 本質的 疑問에 着眼하여, 생활속의 意識들 중에서 특히 커뮤니티 意識과 定住意識에 注目하여, 旣存의 硏究들에 대한 理論的 考察과 事例調査 및 分析을 통해, 커뮤니티意識의 構造的 要因을 檢出하고, 그들 사이의 相互 關係를 糾明하고자 하였는데, 硏究의 결과를 要約하면 다음과 같다.
① 定住意識과 커뮤니티意識은 어느정도 有意的 關聯性을 갖는다고 볼 수 있으며, 커뮤니티 意識이 높을수록, 그리고 이웃주민에 대한 肯定的 認識度가 높을수록 定住意識도 相對的으로 높은 값을 나타내어, 地域에 대해 安定的이며 만족한 心的結合을 갖는 것을 알 수 있다.
② 都市民의 커뮤니티意識의 構造는 3가지 軸에 의해서 어느정도 설명이 가능한데, 積極性의 軸, 主體性의 軸, 連帶感의 軸이 그것이다.
③ 커뮤니티意識을 規定하는 중요 屬性 變數들로는 居住期間, 入住前居住地, 住宅의 所有形態, 이웃과의 交際程度, 地域活動 參與程度, 團地에 대한 愛着程度等이며 이들 變數들에 의해 커뮤니티 意識은 차이를 갖는다.
④ 커뮤니티意識을 규정하는 屬性으로는 居住履歷 이나 個人의 一般的 特性에 의해서도 어느정도 차이를 나타내지만, 이웃住民과의 交際나 地域活動의 參與程度 등의 社會的 相互作用이 보다 중요하며, 특히 가장 유의하다고 볼 수 있는 것은 團地에 대한 愛着感의 程度로 나타났다.
⑤ 團地規模에 따른 커뮤니티意識은 유의한 차이를 보이며, 그 變化의 推移도 一貫性을 보이는데, 團地의 規模가 증가함에 따라 상당히 감소함을 나타내고 있다.
⑥ 거주기간에 따른 커뮤니티意識의 변화는 거주기간이 증가함에 따라 積極性, 連帶感, 主體性이 고른 증가를 보이고 있어, 커뮤니티意識은 거주자의 거주기간이 증가함에 따라 증가하는 것으로 평가된다.
⑦ 環境滿足과 커뮤니티意識의 相互 關係는 대체로 滿足이 증가할수록 커뮤니티意識의 크기가 낮아지는 현상을 보이는데, 이는 環境問題에 대한 改善의 必要性을 느끼는 住民들에 의해서 커뮤니티가 보다 積極的이고 連帶的으로 형성될 수 있음을 보여주는 것이라 하겠다.
이상의 결론에서 커뮤니티意識은 定住意識과 연관되며 都市居住者의 生活上의 安定的 삶과 이상적인 커뮤니티는 그 意識을 평가하여 어느정도의 評價尺度化가 가능하다 할 것이나, 이 연구에서의 定住·커뮤니티意識에 대한 硏究는 초보적인 단계에 불과하며, 계속되는 實證 調査를 통해 物理的 環境과 意識의 변화과정에 대한 硏究의 蓄積이 필요하다 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It is necessary to understand the trend of social phenomena in order to formulate goal in planning process. Especially, the understanding urban social phenomena and inhabitant's consciousness should be preceded in planning community in urban area.
This study have noticed essential question about the direction and the criteria for the evaluation in planning community in urban area. The structural factors in urban community consciousness and it relationship are analyzed.
The results gained from three surveys, its analysis and the theoretical investigation are as follows.
① The settlement consciousness and the community consciousness have considerable significant relationship with each other. The higher the community consciousness and the degree of positive cognition toward neighborhood are, the higher the settlement consciousness become relatively. It means that people who show above the results have stability toward region and satisfactory spiritual linkage.
② The structure of urbanites' community consciousness can be explained by the three dimensions : positiveness, solidarity and self-reliance.
③ The important attribute which prescribe the community consciousness are residencial duration, the place of residence before moving in, housing structures, the degree of association with neighborhood, the degree of participation in regional community activity and the degree of attachment about complex. The community consciousness has difference by them.
④ Though the attribute which prescribes the community consciousness shows some differences by past residence experience or general character, but the social relationship, association with neighborhood or the degree of regional community activity, is more important. Specially, the most significant thing is the degree of attachment about complex.
⑤ The community consciousness by the estate size shows significant difference and the development of change shows consistency, and it decreases quite as the estate size increases.
⑥ The structural factors of community consciousness by the residencial duration shows even increase in positiveness, solidarity and self-reliance as residencial duration increases. Therefore, it can be evaluated that community consciousness increases as the residencial duration increases.
⑦ The interrelation between environmental satisfaction and community consciousness shows that the higher the satifaction is, the lower the community consciousness. It indicates that the community is formed more positively and collectively by the residents who feel the necessity to improve their environmental problems.
From the above result, the community consciousness is positively interrelate to the settlement consciousness. The stable life and community consciousness of urban resident's living can be evaluated. The study about settlement-community consciousness in this study is only the first step and it need to accumulate the study on physical environment and the process of consciousness' change through longitudinal studies.
