Along with the development of the Fintech industry, Fractional Investment, which is called a new investment method, has recently attracted the attention of the market. Fractional Investment, popularized from the MZ generation to all ages, is currently in its early stages in terms of technology and regulatory maturity, and the Fractional Investment market will grow further based on the institutional foundation of the Financial Services Commission.
As such, interest in the User Acceptance Intention on the Fractional Investment Platform is increasing, but prior studies in the academic world are limited to case analysis or qualitative studies. Based on Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology(UTAUT), this study organized a research model by combining User Innovativeness, Perceived Risk, and major variables of Information System Success Model(ISSM), and attempted to analyze in-depth the factors influencing the Acceptance Intention of the Fractional Investment Platform. In addition, by setting the Product Type, Gender, Age, and Experience as additional variables, for examining whether these variables show a significant difference in the intention to accept the Fractional Investment Platform.
As a result of path analysis for hypothesis test, it was found that Performance Expectations, User Innovativeness, and Perceived Risk had a significant effect on the Acceptance Intentions. In addition, there was a significant difference in the moderating effect of Product Types in the relationship between Performance Expectations on Acceptance Intention.
Based on the results of this study, it is expected to provide meaningful implications for industrial development to Fractional Investment Platform operators and policy managers, and to provide academic significance by using it as basic data for future research on Fractional Investment-related academia.
