유치원 교사의 유아교육진흥원체험시설 및 이용에 대한 인식 및 요구 : 인천광역시유아교육진흥원을 중심으로

By investigating the recognition & demand for kindergarten teachers’ using experience facilities in Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute, this study intends to improve the quality of experience facilities & their operation in Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute and to provide basic materials for development & progress of experience program.

The issues originating from the purpose of this study are as follows.
Issue 1. What is the affirmative recognition on kindergarten teachers’ using experience facilities in Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute?
Issue 2. What is the regret for kindergarten teachers’ using experience facilities in Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute?
Issue 3. What is the demand for improvement of kindergarten teachers’ using experience facilities in Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute?

To this end, researcher had in-depth interview with 7 teachers who worked over 5 years at kindergarten in Incheon which used Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute from April to October 2020.

The outcome of in-depth interview & its significant details of analysis are summarized as follows.

First, the affirmative recognition on kindergarten teachers’ using experience facilities in Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute is as follows. The facilities & environment of Institute are affirmatively recognized for nature–friendly environment, safe experience facilities & attractive outdoors playground. In the aspect of experience program, indoors experience program, woods experience program with nature which reflects the area of preschool course amended in 2019, pottery experience program, special local program & special experience program which supplements children’s scant experience are affirmatively recognized. Finally, in the aspect of operating the experience of Institute, lessening the burden of kindergarten and parents by saving the cost of experience, abundant supporting manpower, thorough prior preparation before site experience learning are affirmatively recognized.
Second, the regret for kindergarten teachers’ using experience facilities in Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute is as follows. With respect to the facilities & environment of Institute, accessibility is low due to lack of convenience facilities in outdoors playground, narrow & inconvenient indoors cafeteria, geographic position of Institute. In the aspect of experience program contents, the participants of study regret over fixed indoors experience program which is same to diverse ages without difference and experience program which symbolizes Incheon. Further, they also regret over difficult application for reservation of Institute experience in the aspect of Institute operation and impossibility of changing experience course.
Third, kindergarten teachers’ request for improvement of their using experience facilities in Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute is as follows. The participants of study told the necessity of arranging broad indoors cafeteria & installing catering facilities, installing outdoors sand amusement & summer water park facilities, establishing branches in Southeast & Songdo district of Incheon with respect to the facilities & environment of Institute. Regarding the request for experience program contents, they told safety experience program is necessary and it is required to develop program which can promote the area of communication for preschool course and substitute program is necessary when wood amusement is cancelled. Finally, they request for free prior tour and bus in which car seat is installed in the aspect of operating experience.

Based on the above outcome, kindergarten teachers’ specific experience in using experience facilities in Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute could be investigated. Such outcome would provide basic materials for improving quality of experience operation of Incheon Early Childhood Education & Development Institute and setting the direction of development & progress of experience program.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유치원 교사의 인천광역시유아교육진흥원의 체험시설 및 이용에 대한 인식 및 요구를 심층적으로 살펴봄으로써, 이를 바탕으로 인천광역시유아교육진흥원의 체험시설 및 운영에 대한 질을 높이고 체험프로그램 개발 및 발전을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다.

본 연구의 목적에 따른 연구문제는 다음과 같다.

연구문제 1. 유치원 교사의 인천광역시유아교육진흥원 체험시설 및 이용에 대한 긍정적 인식은 무엇인가?
연구문제 2. 유치원 교사의 인천광역시유아교육진흥원 체험시설 및 이용에 대한 아쉬운 점은 무엇인가?
연구문제 3. 유치원 교사의 인천광역시유아교육진흥원 체험시설 및 이용에 대한 개선요구는 무엇인가?

이를 위해서 연구자는 2020년 4월부터 10월까지 인천광역시유아교육진흥원을 이용한 인천광역시 유치원에서 근무하는 경력 5년 이상 되는 교사 7명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 진행하였다.

심층면담의 결과 및 분석의 주요한 내용을 연구문제에 따라 요약하면 다음과 같다.

첫째, 유치원 교사의 인천광역시유아교육진흥원의 체험시설 및 이용에 대한 긍정적 인식은 다음과 같다. 진흥원의 시설 및 환경에서는 자연 친화적 환경, 안전한 체험시설, 매력적인 실외 놀이터에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하였다. 그리고 체험프로그램 내용 측면에서는 2019 개정 누리과정 영역을 반영한 실내체험 프로그램, 자연과 함께하는 숲 체험프로그램, 지역특색 프로그램인 도예체험 프로그램, 유아의 부족한 경험을 채워주는 특별체험 프로그램에 대해 긍정적이었다. 마지막으로 진흥원의 체험 운영 측면에서는 체험비용의 절감으로 인한 유치원 및 학부모의 부담 경감, 풍부한 지원인력, 현장체험학습 전 철저한 사전 준비를 할 수 있는 것을 긍정적으로 인식하였다.
둘째, 유치원교사의 인천광역시유아교육진흥원의 체험시설 및 이용에 대한 인식 중 아쉬운 점은 다음과 같다. 진흥원의 시설 및 환경에서는 실외 놀이터의 편의시설 부족, 협소하고 불편한 실내식사 장소, 진흥원의 지리적 위치로 인한 접근의 어려움이 있었다. 그리고 체험프로그램 내용 측면에서는 연구 참여자들은 연령별 차이가 없는 고정된 실내체험 프로그램과 인천을 상징하는 체험프로그램에 대한 아쉬움을 말하였다. 또한 진흥원 운영 측면에서는 진흥원 체험예약 신청의 어려움과 체험코스를 변경하지 못하는 것에 대해 아쉬워하였다.
셋째, 유치원 교사의 인천광역시유아교육진흥원의 체험시설 및 이용에 대한 유치원 교사의 개선요구는 다음과 같다. 연구 참여자들은 진흥원의 시설 및 환경에서는 넓은 실내식사 장소 확보 및 급식시설 설치 필요, 실외 모래 놀이 및 여름 물놀이 시설 설치, 인천 남동부 및 송도지역의 분원 설립을 말했다. 그리고 체험프로그램 내용에 대한 요구로는 안전체험 프로그램 필요, 소통아이 누리로의 의사소통 영역을 증진할 수 있는 프로그램 개발, 수풀 놀이 취소 시 대체프로그램이 필요하다고 하였다. 마지막으로 체험 운영 측면에서는 자유로운 사전답사와 카시트가 장착된 버스 지원을 요구하였다.

이상의 결과를 바탕으로 유치원 교사의 인천광역시유아교육진흥원 체험시설 및 이용에 대한 구체적인 경험을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 인천광역시유아교육진흥원의 체험 운영의 질을 높이고 체험프로그램의 개발 및 발전을 위한 방향을 세우는데 기초자료를 제공할 것이다.
