程伊川의 卦才論 硏究 = A study on ChengYiChuan's Guacai

Abstract

The subject of this thesis is research about Guacai(卦才) of ChengYiChuan. I attempted to analyse the characteristic of interpret and meaning of it of The Book of Changes(周易) through study about Guacai(卦才) that is one of notions that appear on The Book of Changes by Yichuan(伊川易傳) that is ChengYiChuan’s writing. For this, I treat a critical mind about interpret of The Book of change(周易) which ChengYiChuan had at first. After this, I analysed Guashi(卦時), Guade(卦德), Guacai(卦才) that are notions that are used on the Book of Changes by Yichuan(伊川易傳).
The Book of Changes by Yichuan(伊川易傳) is that analysed The Book of Changes(周易) based on a confucian moral sense. In this interpretive process, ChengYiChuan criticized existing xiangshuyi(象數易) and overcomed taoistic(道家的) Yiriyi(義理易) at the same time. Guacai(卦才) is devised notion for just it. Guacai(卦才) is notion that expresses independent attitude or ability or human in detailed situation. This distinctive notion that can’t be found at existing The Book of Changes(周易) is used on The Book of Changes by Yichuan(伊川易傳). It emphasizes actual-participated attitude and role of main agents. Also it has a big influence on interpret of The Book of Changes(周易) at the future.
Guacai(卦才) is used on interpret about Gua(卦) and it has 3 functions. First is used on interpret about Gua(卦). Second explains reason about forming of Gua(卦). Third is way that overcome situation. These functions that Confucian values(or confucian moral sense) that require different moral act depending on situation and emphasizes role of main agents is reflected in, expresses how I act at any incident(or situation) in common.
This distinctive notion that can’t be found at existing The Book of changes(周易) is used on the Book of Changes by Yichuan(伊川易傳). It emphasizes actual-participated attitude and role of main agents. Also it has a big influence on interpret of The Book of changes(周易) at the future.
