종교성이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향 : 삶의 의미, 사회적 지지, 낙관성의 매개효과를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 종교성이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향과 그 과정에서 삶의 의미, 낙관성, 사회적 지지가 매개효과를 보이는지 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대구, 경산, 울산,광주에 거주하는 14∼65세 종교인 346명이 종교활동, 종교성향, 외상경험 질문지, 외상 후 성장, 삶의 의미, 사회적지지, 낙관성 척도에 응답하였고, 외상경험의 고통 정도를 4점(보통)이상으로 응답한 327부를 선별하여 상관 분석과 구조방정식을 통해 종교성이 외상 후 성장에 이르는 경로를 검증하였다.
연구 결과, 변인들 간의 유의미한 상관이 있었으며, 종교성과 외상 후 성장을 삶의 의미가 매개하였고, 낙관성과 삶의 의미, 사회적 지지와 삶의 의미가 순차적으로 매개 효과를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 종교성이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 데에 세 가지 방식이 있음을 보여주었다. 첫 번째 방식은 종교성이 높아질수록 삶의 의미가 높아지며 삶의 의미가 높아질수록 외상 후 성장을 증가시킨다는 것이다. 두 번째 방식은 종교성이 높아질수록 낙관성이 높아지며 이에 삶의 의미를 증가시켜 외상 후 성장을 높인다는 것이다. 세 번째 방식은 종교성이 높아질수록 사회적 지지가 높아지며 이에 삶의 의미를 증가시켜 외상 후 성장을 높인다는 것이다. 본 연구 결과는 외상을 겪은 종교를 가진 내담자에게 효과적인 상담개입 방법을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to find the effect of the Meaning in Life, Optimism and Social support between Religiosity and Posttraumatic Growth. For this study 346 religious people whose ages ranged from 18 to 65( M = 30.7, SD= 9.98) from Deagu, Gyeongbuk, Ulasn, and Gwangju had assessed traumatic experience questionnaire, Posttraumatic Growth Inventory scale, Religion Activities scale, Intrinsic Religious and Extrinsic Religious Orientation Subscale: IREROS), The Meaning in life Questionnaire: MLQ, Korea Life Orientation Test -Revised, Social support scale. Only 327 the questionnaire 4 points or over in level of suffering about traumatic experience sorted and confirmed the mediated effect of meaning in life, optimism and social support between religiosity and posttraumatic growth through correlation analysis and structural equation Modeling techniques.
The result of the current study are followed: First, all the correlations among variable were significant in the positive direction. Using Structural Equation Modeling Techniques, it was found that ⒜ optimism mediated the relationship between religiosity and meaning in life, ⒝ social support mediated the relationship between religiosity and meaning in life, ⒞ meaning in life mediated the relationship between religioisity and posttraumatic growth.
These results indicated how religiosity influence posttraumatic growth and suggested how to intervene effectively to religious clients in the counseling process. Finally, several implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
