This study aimed to examine the changes in the mathematical attitude of middle school students through an experiential mathematics class. For this purpose, a case analysis of three female middle school students was conducted. A total of five classes were held for three weeks.
The following results were obtained through this study. First, the experiential mathematics class had a positive effect on the confidence and interest level of students. Second, the experiential mathematics class had a positive effect on attention when the class difficulty level was appropriate for students.
Thus, following active research on experiential mathematical classes, if these classes are used as a support mechanism in school mathematics education, they will be helpful in improving students’self-concept of mathematics.
