The purpose of this study is to provide practical indication and strategy based on relevance between instructors who are employees of an organization, the private sports education facility, and at the same time, is based on cultural relevance aspects. Due to absence of prior standards, measurements applicable to current status of the private sports facility had to be developed.
The measurements were applied to be reviewed for adequacy and were able to present results of effective management between relevance of private sports facility and its instructors.
The contents of this research are constructed of 7 steps for conclusion and issues. Specify domain of construct, generate sample of items, purify measure, collect data, assess liability, assess validity, and develop norms. Through specifying domain of construct and generating sample of items, the initial domain of construct were consisted of 4 dimensions with 6 relevance factors as in total, 63 items. With purifying measures and reliability and validity assessment, 4 factors and 21 items were derived such as trust, control mutuality, involvement, and exchange relationships.
The theoretical and practical subjects of this research are as follows.
First, this study has a theoretical meaning by deriving relevance factors of managers who are the organization and at the same time, the small scale organization itself as most organization-public relationship measurements are limited to corporate and large-size organization.
Although prior literature focuses on positive outcomes of organization-public relationship from PR activities, this study has developed a model that presents and measures a new theory, involvement which can appear in relevance of sports related jobs.
This model estimates whether involvement in relationships within organization is able to construct a long term relationship between private sports education facility and its instructors and while suggesting a theoretical outline to observe instructors relevance.
The result of develop norms presents instructors relevance within organization as ‘Recognition of effort of private sports education facility in implementing and maintaining long term relationship with its instructors’. The approach to measurement is different from prior studies because it does not include satisfaction and loyalty which were the important relevance factors in most prior literatures. These exclusions were based on obstacles within instructors of current private sports education facilities and as most of the instructors regard employment in these facilities as a temporary job, such behaviors were assumed to be based on quality of relevance rather than unsatisfactory environment (salary, working hours) that instructors of other sports related jobs would recognize.
Finally, with the relevance measurements presented in this research, samples were specified so that the effect of long term relationship in private sports education can be measured. In other words, understanding the logic of job transfer and short term relationship of instructors who are not loyal to the organization and is unsatisfied of the environment and a positive, voluntarily loyal and satisfied relationship within organization could provide higher possibility of long term relationship and recruitment of private sports education facility Therefore, the organizations of private sports education facility and instructors relevance can be used as a differentiated relevance measurement from prior organization –public relationships which uses PR.
In spite of the theoretical and practical values of this research, other types of organization were not considered such as private education facilities; therefore the result of this study could be difficult to generalize. Further studies are required in the future to adjust the relevance measurement items in various types of organizations and reconfirming the validity in measurement models.
