중등부 특수학급의 성교육 프로그램 운영실태 분석=

국문 초록 (Abstract)

성교육은 자신의 몸에 대해 바로 알고, 올바른 성지식과 태도를 가짐으로써 성폭력으로부터 자신을 보호하고 몸의 소중함과 양성 평등적 시각을 가질 수 있다는 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 하지만 장애학생들은 자신을 보호하는 방법과 기술이 부족하며, 선행연구 조차 특수학교 또는 초등학교 특수학급을 대상으로 연구가 이루어지고 있는 실정이다.
이에 본 연구는 중등부 특수학급 교사들의 성교육에 대한 인식 수준과 성교육이 정상적으로 편성·운영되고 있는지 실태를 파악하고자 한다.
이를 위해 경기도 고양시의 중·고등학교 특수학급 교사 92명을 대상으로 조사연구를 하였으며, 그 중 불성실한 자료 11부를 제외한 81부를 실제 연구자료로 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 설정한 연구 목적을 검증하기 위해 SPSS(ver. 21.0) 통계 프로그램으로 통계 처리하였다.
연구 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 중등부 특수학급 교사들의 성교육에 대한 관심은 높았으며, 성교육의 문제점에 대해 전담인력의 부족이 많았다. 둘째, 중등부 특수학급에서 성교육에 대한 교육과정과 내용을 대체적으로 편성․운영하고 있었으나 일부(12.3%)는 편성을 하지 않았으며, 18.5%는 특수학급 교육과정 운영계획에 성교육 내용을 반영하지 않는다고 하였다.
결과를 토대로 몇 가지 제언을 하고자 한다.
첫째, 성교육 전담 인력 양성과 배치를 통해 현장에 보다 적극 지원이 요구된다.
중등부 특수학급은 별도의 제도적 지침 없이 특수학급 담당 교사에게 모든 교육을 맡겨놓은 실정이다. 이것은 성교육 편성․운영에서도 마찬가지이다. 따라서 특수학급 담당 교사가 성교육을 편성․운영하는데 도움을 얻을 수 있도록 시․도 수준에서 특수학급의 성교육 편성․운영에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어져야 하며, 성교육에 대한 교사 연수 프로그램이 마련되어야 한다.
마지막으로, 이 연구는 전체 중등부 특수학급 교사 중 경기도 고양시를 중심으로 조사 연구한 결과이므로 이 연구의 결과를 모든 중등부 특수학급에 일반화 시킬 수는 없다. 따라서 중등부 특수학급의 성교육에 대한 운영 실태 연구가 더 필요하리라 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Sex education is crucial for in terms of taking care of one’s body and having gender equity perspective. It provides accurate knowledge and the right attitude of sexual matters for students and helps to protect oneself from sexual violence. Disabled students, however, their incapacity to protect themselves is an issue of great dimensions to themselves and even preceding research is being done on targeting special-education school or elementary special school special class.
Hence, this study discussed to see the level of awareness about sex education program of special class teachers among middle and high school and to grasp the actual condition of organization and implementation of the sex education program whether it is properly handled in these schools.
This study is based on 94 special education teachers for middle school and high school in Gyeonggi Goyang, eighty one parts are used as research materials. The collected data was taken statistics through SPSS (ver. 21.0), statistical program, for verifying outlined purpose of study.
In the result of this study, above all, special education teachers in middle and high school showed high interest in sex education program. Their speaking with one voice was about a shortage of the number of those exclusively responsible for the problems of sex education program. Next, most of these schools have generally organized and implemented curriculum contents about sex education program at special class, but some school (12.3%) have not organized, 18.5% have not included contents about sex education program in their course of instruction for special class.
On the basis of these result, some suggestions are following.
First, it is required to open an exclusive responsibility for sex education program with a more active support. Special classes in middle and high school still assign all education to teachers in charge at special class without additional institutional guidelines. This is the same on organizing and implementing sex education program. Such being the case, the education bureau of Cities and Provinces should actively research how to organize and implement sex education program for special class for supporting special education teachers and should share teacher training program for this.
Lastly, this study is based on with Gyeonggi Goyang as the center of all special education teachers in middle and high school. Therefore, it needs to be careful not to generalize all special class in middle and high school has same problem. Consequently, more studies on the implementation of the sex education program for special class in middle and high school are called on to this area.
