The purpose of this study is to comparatively analyze elite badminton players' resilience and to clarify which difference there is in sub-factors of resilience between excellent players and general players.
To achieve the objective of this study, a questionnaire survey was carried out targeting 310 players who take part in the nationwide springtime class-based badminton league(university/business) competition in March of 2013. Except 18 copies of questionnaires with non-recording among them, 292 copies were collected. Except 24 copies with double report and insincere response, 268 copies were analyzed. Data analysis was carried out Cronbach′s ⍺, frequency, percentage, t-test, two-way ANOVA, regression analysis, and simple correlation analysis, One way Anova, scheffe method depending on research objective. Specific results according to data analysis are as follows.
First, in the analysis of resilience according to gender, women were indicated to be higher than men.
Second, in the analysis of resilience according to career, a group with national representative career was indicated to be higher than a group without national representative career. In awarding career, a group with large career was indicated to be the highest in positivity than a low group.
Third, in the analysis according to the appearance of excellent player, the female business team, male business team, female university team were indicated to be high in representative player's ability as for the whole of self-regulation ability, interpersonal-relation ability, positivity, and resilience. On the other hand, the male university team was indicated to be high in general player's ability as for the whole of self-regulation ability and resilience except interpersonal-relation ability and positivity. Among whole groups, the female university team was indicated to be the highest in interpersonal-relation ability. In self-regulation ability, positivity, and resilience other than it, the female business team was indicated most highly.
Fourth, it could be predicted in the analysis of the influence in resilience upon athletic performance that the higher self-regulation ability will lead to the higher athletic performance, but that the higher interpersonal-relation ability will lead to the lower athletic performance. Seeing the above findings, there will be a need of developing and utilizing a teaching-learning method available for effectively operating badminton players' resilience, and an educational program available for enhancing athletic performance.
