국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 현대 사회의 부모들이 자녀 양육에서 겪고 있는 어려움과 필요로 하는 다양한 교육적인 정보들을 살펴봄으로서 어린이집과 유치원에서의 부모 교육의 방향과 교사의 대처 방안을 위한 기초자료로 제공하는데 이 연구의 목적이 있다.

이에 따른 구체적인 연구 문제는 다음과 같다.

연 구 문 제 2. 어린이집 성별에 따른 학부모 상담에 대한 내용은 어떠한가?

본 연구의 대상은 서울시 소재 직장 어린이집의 만 0세~만 5세의 학부모 120명이다. 전체 13학급으로 전체 남아는 64명이고 전체 여아는 56명이며 평균 월령은 44.19개월이다. 연구에 참여한 교사는 총 13명이며, 연구 기간은 2012년 3월 5일부터 2012년 7월 21일까지이다.
상담 자료는 교사들은 학부모와의 의사소통 장(場)인 ‘마주 이야기’와 1학기 정기 상담 자료, 등ㆍ하원 시 학부모와의 상담 내용과 전화 상담을 토대로 자료 수집을 하였으며 총 자료 수집은 6,053건이다.
분석을 위해 강정원과 전선영(2000)의 인터넷을 이용한 영유아기 자녀 교육 상담 내용 분석 연구의 상담 내용을 분석한 것을 참고로 하여 연구자의 연구 현장에 맞게 수정 보완하여 분석하였으며, 한 상담 내용 안의 두 가지 이상의 상담 내용은 중복처리 하여 분석 기준의 하위 영역별로 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다.

본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.

첫째. 만 0세는 신체 발달 및 건강영역과 관련된 상담이 많았으나, 만 1세 이후의 연령부터는 사회 발달영역과 관련된 상담이 많았다. 또한 영아에서 유아로 연령이 올라갈수록 학부모들은 자녀의 학습지도와 관련된 상담 내용이 많으며, 어린이집에서는 어떻게 학습지도를 하고 있는지에 대한 상담이 많았다.
연령별 학부모 상담과 관련하여 전체적으로 사회영역과 관련된 상담 내용이 많았다. 어린 연령일수록 놀이와 관련된 상담 내용이 많았으며, 유아이상의 연령에서는 또래 집단과 관련된 상담내용이 많았다. 이는 어린연령의 부모일수록 어린 자녀들이 어린이집에서 어떤 놀이를 하는지 많이 궁금해 하며, 가정에서 자녀들과 놀이 방법과 대화 방법에 대한 상담 내용이 많은 것은 부모가 자녀와의 놀이와 대화 방법에 대해 어려워함을 시사하기도 한다. 또한 유아 이상의 부모는 자녀가 어떤 친구와 더 친하고, 어떤 친구 때문에 힘들어 하는지 등의 자녀의 또래 집단과 관련하여 관심이 많음을 시사한다.
영아에서 유아로 연령이 올라갈수록 학부모들은 자녀의 학습지도와 관련된 상담 내용이 많았다. 어린이집에서는 어떻게 학습지도를 하고 있는지에 대한 상담 내용이 주를 이루었으며, 가정에서 어린이집과 연계하여 학습지도를 어떻게 해야 하는지에 대한 상담 내용이 많았다.

둘째. 성별에 따른 상담은 남아와 여아 모두 사회영역에서 높게 나왔다.
만 1세의 성별에 따른 상담 내용을 비교 하였을 때 공통적으로 놀이와 관련된 상담이 남아(11.44%), 여아(12.70%)로 전체적 상담 내용 중에 가장 높게 나왔으며
만 2세의 성별에 따른 상담 내용으로 공통점은 자조기술과 관련된 상담으로 남아(12.48%), 여아(9.26%)로 비교적 높게 나왔다.
만 3세의 성별에 따른 상담 내용의 공통점은 놀이와 관련된 상담 내용으로 남아는(13.15%), 여아는(13.10%) 가장 높게 나왔다.
만 4세의 성별에 따른 상담 내용의 공통점은 또래와 사귀기 및 관계와 관련하여 남아 (10.30%), 여아(12.64%)로 가장 높게 나왔다.
만 5세의 성별에 따른 상담 내용의 공통점은 또래와의 관계와 관련한 상담이 남아(13.22%), 여아(16.32%)로 가장 많았다.
성별에 따른 학부모 상담내용의 결과를 토대로 연령별 학부모 상담내용과 마찬가지로 사회영역에서 만 2세를 제외하고 남아, 여아의 학부모 모두 관심이 많음을 알 수 있다. 어린 연령일수록 자녀의 놀이에 관심이 많으며, 유아 이상의 부모는 사회 발달 이외의 의사소통과 인지발달과 관심이 많음을 시사한다.
