입학사정관전형의 특성 분석 = Analysis of Characteristics of the Admission Officer System

국문 초록 (Abstract)

입학사정관제는 입학사정관이 다양한 전형자료를 종합적으로 평가하여 학업능력과 잠재력이 있는 학생을 선발하는 제도로서 대입 입시정책의 핵심이라고 할 수 있다.
이 연구의 목적은 입학사정관 전형의 특성을 분석하는 데 있으며, 이를 달성하기 위해 입학사정관 전형의 이념적 특성을 분석하고, 입학사정관전형이 추구하는 인재상의 특성을 밝히고, 입학사정관 전형의 운영상의 특성을 분석하였다.
연구방법은 선행연구, 정책연구물, 대학 연구물, 입학사정관제 사례발표 워크숍자료를 분석하였다. 둘째, 2012년 입학사정관제 선도대학 중 15개 대학의 입학사정관제 홈페이지, 모집요강, 자기소개서, 추천서를 분석하였다.
연구결과 입학사정관전형의 이념적 특성, 인재상의 특성, 운영상의 특성들은 자율성, 다양성, 창의성, 수월성, 협동성을 기반으로 하고 있었다. 또한 자기 주도적 학습능력, 문제 해결능력, 협동심, 의사소통능력, 창의성 등 다양한 능력을 가진 학생을 선발하기 위해 노력하고 있다.
입학사정관 전형은 구성주의 학습원리에서 추구하는 자기주도적 학습능력, 문제해결능력, 협동심 등을 중점적으로 조장하고 있으므로 구성주의 학습원리의 특성에 맞는 학생을 선발하려고 노력하고 있다. 따라서 입학사정관 전형이 내포하고 있는 자율성, 다양성, 창의성, 수월성, 협동성은 구성주의의 특성을 기반으로 하고 있다고 볼 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Admission Officer System is used to select students with high academic ability and potential through the overall evaluation of various admission materials, and it can be considered as a core part of University entrance examination policy.
The purpose of this study is to investigate characteristics of the Admission Officer System. In order to accomplish its purpose, ideological and operational characteristics of the Admission Officer System are analyzed along with the characteristics of desirable applicants.
In the first stage of this study, I analyze data from preceding research and policy studies on the Admission Officer System, and case studies that are introduced in Admission Officer System workshops. In the second stage, website data, guidelines for applicants, their cover letters and letters of reference from 15 leading universities that implemented Admission Officer System in 2012 are analyzed.
The results show that the ideological and operational characteristics of the Admission Officer System and the characteristics of the desirable applicants include autonomy, diversity, creativity, excellence, and cooperation. The Admission Officer System also seeks to select talented students with characteristics such as self-directed learning abilities, problem solving skills, cooperation, communication skills, and creativity.
As the Admission Officer System encourages self-directed learning, problem solving, and cooperation - all characteristics based on constructivism - it seeks students are compatible with constructivist principles of learning. Therefore, the characteristics of autonomy, diversity, creativity, excellence, and cooperation, which are implied in the Admission Officer System, can be explained based on the characteristics of constructivism.
