    본 연구는 단학수련이 고령 여성의 만성질환에 미치는 영향을 분석한 연구이다. 단학수련 프로그램의 효과를 분석하기 위하여 평균연령 65세 고령여성 중에서 특히 만성질환으로 인한 대사성 질병인 비만, 고혈압, 고지혈증, 당뇨병,관절염, 골다공증을 앓고 있는 여성노인을 대상으로 24주간 단학수련을 실시한후 신체구성 및 혈중지질의 변화를 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다
