The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationships of adolescent' internet overindulgence, psychological well-being, ego-resiliency, and social support.
The subjects for this study were 1050 adolescent in 1th, 2th and 3th grade randomly selected from middle schools located in Daegu-Si.
The sample variance-covariance matrix was analysed using AMOS 19.0, and a maximum likelihood minimization function. Goodness of fit was evaluated using the SRMR, RMSEA and its 90% confidence interval, CFI, and TLI.
The results found in this study were as follows:
first, adolescents' psychological well-being, ego-resiliency, and parent's support of social support perceived by adolescents were found to have direct effect adolescents' internet overindulgence. but adolescents' teacher's support and friend's support of social support perceived by adolescents haven't direct effect adolescents' internet overindulgence.
The second, adolescents' ego-resiliency, and social support(parent' support, teacher's support and friend's support) perceived by adolescents were found to have direct effect adolescents' psychological well-being.
The third, adolescents' parent's support and friend's support of social support perceived by adolescents were found to have direct effect adolescents' ego-resiliency. but adolescents' teacher's support of social support perceived by adolescents haven't direct effect adolescents' ego-resiliency.
The fourth, adolescents' ego-resiliency, and social support(parent' support, teacher's support and friend's support) perceived by adolescents were found to have indirect effect adolescents' internet overindulgence
The fifth, adolescents' parent's support and friend's support of social support perceived by adolescents were found to have indirect effect adolescents' psychological well-being. but adolescents' teacher's support of social support perceived by adolescents haven't indirect effect adolescents' psychological well-being.
