The purposes of this study were to investigate which can influence the job satisfaction among the employees in the christian social welfare agencies, and to identify the way to increase the job satisfaction among the employees in the christian social welfare agencies.
To make this possible, the questionnaires have been distributed targeting the employees in the christian social welfare agencies. Among these, Two hundred respondents were used in the final analysis and the data was analyzed by using SPSS WIN 18.0.
The results of this study are summarized as following; First, as a result of analyzing the difference of job satisfaction according to general characteristics of the respondents, a significant differences was found in just the age factor and did not affect other items.
Second, between the determinants and the job satisfaction among the employees in the christian social welfare agencies, the result of correlation analysis found that the highest correlation was leadership followed by reward system, feedback, staff development opportunities, job identity, job importance, diversity, and the lowest correlation was autonomy.
Third, as a result of multiple regression analysis in order to examine the determinants of job satisfaction among the employees in the christian social welfare agencies, religious health in spirituality factors were shown as having most effect on job satisfaction followed by reward systems, leadership, and job characteristics.
Based on these results, some of implications will be suggested for the job satisfaction improvement for the employees in the christian social welfare agencies.
First, it is required to improvement of supervision in job characteristics of the employees in the christian social welfare agencies. Therefore secure of education and program that gain clear information about whether the effectiveness in there work, and strengthen the training can make a positive impact on improve the employees’ ability to work with client.
Second, it is required to improvement of leadership and reward system in organizational characteristics of the employees in the christian social welfare agencies. Therefore should strengthen Leadership education for agency directors and team leaders in social welfare agencies, so that they can improve their leadership. And agencies will need to actively apply successful leadership practices in other areas.
Finally, it is required to improvement of religious health in spirituality among the employees in the christian social welfare agencies. The development of spirituality can improve the quality in social work practice by not only can broaden understanding themselves and client, but also have an effect on the job satisfaction. And high spirituality will be able to accomplish the purposes that embodies love of God and love of neighbor in the worth of social welfare agencies.
