홀리스틱 교육을 기반으로 한 통합교육과정 개발

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 기존의 통합교육과정 이론과 실제를 통해 어떠한 유형의 통합교육과정이 있었는지와 한계를 밝히고 통합교육과정의 방향을 제시하고자 하며, 홀리스틱 교육을 기반으로 한 통합교육과정을 개발하여 수업개선에 도움을 줄 수 있는 기초적 자료를 제공하고자 수행되었다.
이 연구는 학생의 경험과 관련된 주제를 여러 교과에서 선정하여, 홀리스틱 관점에서 통합교육과정 개발 목록을 구성하였다. 이에 따른 구체적인 교수-학습 과정안 내용은 다음과 같다.
첫째, “내용 Ⅰ”의 ”가을의 산과 들의 모습”은 학교 주변에 있는 산이나 들의 모습을 관찰하고 다양한 방법으로 표현을 해 보며 홀리스틱 교육이 추구하는 자연의 고마움과 생명의 소중함을 느끼고 창의적이고 도덕성을 지닌 전인적인 인간으로서 더 나아가 자기 자신에 대한 성찰을 통해 영성지능까지 도모할 수 있도록 내용을 구성하였다.
둘째, “내용 Ⅱ”는 종래의 통합교육과정이 수평적 통합과 수직적 통합의 두 측면을 모두 고려되지 못하고 한쪽으로 치우친 나머지 특히 인간의 내면적인 측면이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 홀리스틱 교육과 연관된 Meta-Quadrant 모델에 따른 통합교육과정을 적용하여 종래의 교육과정의 결점을 보완하였다.
결국 홀리스틱 교육이 몸과 마음을 조화롭게 발전시켜 자신의 잠재력 능력을 개발하여 삶의 문제를 스스로 해결하며 주체적인 인간을 기르는데 효과가 있을 것이다. 따라서 개발된 통합교육과정을 적용하여 지도한다면 통합교육과정의 목표에 효과적으로 접근할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.
특히 통합교육과정을 적용함에 있어서 학생들의 숨은 감성을 일깨우고 영성을 발달시킬 수 있는 방법으로 생태체험교육과 독서교육 그리고 자연과의 대화를 통한 명상교육이 필수적이라고 생각한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to clarify limits of the existed integrated curriculum, which are discovered through theory and practice. Also, this essay will propose the direction of curriculum integration.
Based on the holistic education, curriculum integration is developed to provide basic data for class improvement. curriculum
integration is selected from in various subject , which are about students' experience and created a list from hoslistic point of view. The specific lesson plan contents are as follows:
Firstly, “contents Ⅰ” is focused on the topic “the scene of mountains and fields of autumn”that the holistic education pursue to be an independent student who can be grateful to the nature and feel the importance of lives, also called, think creatively, have good morality and who has spirituality about to be a better person through the self-examination.
Secondly, “Contents Ⅱ”is compensated the defects and presented for the existed integrated curriculum, which is applied Meta-Quadrant model that is related with the holistic education. The existed integrated curriculum could not embrace every field of study and it is not having even distribution but one-sided that internal side of the human being is not enough and examples of curriculum integration had both aspects of horizontal integration and vertical integration.
Finally, holistic education, which is harmonized with body and heart, will be effective to develop students’potential to solve the problems themselves and to create as independent people.
Therefore, if teachers applied this developed curriculum integration to students, teachers would reach the goal of the instruction of integration curriculum effectively.
Especially, as applying to curriculum integration, which is the method of developing spirituality, teachers can help students to realize their hidden inspiration. Also, the ecological reading, and contemplation education through communion with nature will be essential in this theory.
