      The purpose of this study was to examine effects of parent's affectional parenting and peer attachment on early adolescents' happiness, community spirit & school adjustment. This study used the data from wave 1 year of middle school first grade panel of National Youth Policy Institute that collected 2,351 youth in a national survey. Data were analyzed in average, standard deviation, skewness & kurtosis, Cronbach's α and Pearson's correlation by using SPSS 12.0 program. A theoretical model was analyzed by Structural Equation Model(SEM) using Amos 7.0.

      The results of this study were as follows:
      First, parents' affectionate parenting had direct effects on adolescents' happiness, community spirit, and school adjustment.
      Second, peer attachment had direct effects on adolescents' happiness, community spirit, and school adjustment.
      Third, happiness had a direct effect on male adolescents' community spirit while did not have a direct effect on female adolescents. Happiness did not have a direct effect on male adolescent‘s school adjustment whereas it had a direct effect on female adolescents' school adjustment.
      Fourth, community spirit had a direct effect on both male and female adolescents' school adjustment.
      Fifth, happiness and community spirit had mediation effects on adolescents' school adjustment through parents' affectionate parenting and peer attachment. However, happiness did not have a mediation effect on female adolescents' community spirit while it had mediated males' community spirit by happiness.
      Sixth, peer attachment was the strongest predictor for adolescents' school adjustment followed by community spirit.
