초등학교 교사의 성격적 강점과 교직 만족도와의 관계 = The Relationship between the Character Strengths and Teaching Profession Satisfaction of Elementary School Teacher

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 교사의 성격적 강점과 교직 만족도와의 관계를 알아보는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해서 본 연구에서는 Seligman(2004)의 성격적 강점 척도와 대한교육연합회(1982)의 교직 만족도 척도(Korea Teacher Opinionnaire: KTO)를 사용하였다.
본 연구는 대구에 근무하고 있는 초등학교 교사 198명을 대상으로 2011년 2월 7일부터 3월 9일까지 설문 조사 후 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 분석은 SPSS 17.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 Pearson의 이변량 상관분석과 중다 회귀분석, 단계적 중다 회귀분석을 실시하였다.
분석 결과 초등학교 교사의 성격적 강점이 교직 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 초등학교 교사의 성격적 강점을 통한 교직 만족도의 증진이 가능하다는 것을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the relations between the elementary school teacher's character strengths and the teaching profession satisfaction. In order to accomplish this purpose, this study used the reduced version of VIS-IS of Seligman(2004), KTO(Korea Teacher Opinionnaire) of Korea Federation of Teacher's Associations(1982).
In this study, the collected data was analyzed after the survey was carried out with the subject of 198 elementary school teachers who work in Daegu City from February 7th, 2011 to March 9th, 2011. The analysis was carried out using SPSS 17.0 statistical program to eximine Pearson's bivariate correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, step-wise multiple regression analysis.
As a result of analysis, it was appeared that the elementary school teacher's character strengths affect the scholastic achievements and the teaching profession satisfaction. This result suggests that the promotion of scholastic achievements and the teaching profession satisfaction using the elementary school teacher's character strengths is possible.
