1. Is there any difference of mother's type of language control according to her young child's variable?
1-1. Is there any difference of mother's type of language control and her young child's age?
1-2. Is there any difference of mother's type of language control and her young child's sex?
2. Is there any difference of mother's type of language control according to her socio-demographic variable?

2-2. Is there any difference of mother's type of language control and whether she is employed?

Research subjects were 300 public kindergartens of age 4 to 5 in Go-yang, there mothers and teacher. As a research tool, questionnaires were distributed to measure mother's type of language control for mothe and self-concept test of child and questionnaires for a teacher were to measure a child's social ability. Some methods - t-test, Person's Correlation Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis through SPSS WIN 13.0 program - were used to evaluate dater collected.
The result of this study were follows ;
First, there was no difference of mother's type of language control according to child's age. But there was difference of command-oriented control and status-oriented control. their mothers more used command-oriented control and status-oriented control to boys than girls.
Second, there was no difference of mother's type of language control and whether she is employed. But there was difference of mother's type of language control according to mother's educational background. A mother with educational attainments under a high school graduate used more command-oriented control and status-oriented control than a mother with educational attainments over a college graduate.
Third, in the relationship between mother's type of language control and child's self-concept, child's self-concept was the lowest when a mother's type of language control was command-oriented control and status-oriented control. But there was no difference of emotional self-concept and physical self-concept according to mother's type of language control.
Fourth, there was a difference between child's social ability and mother's type of language control. child's capability was the highest when a mother's type of language control was personality-oriented control. And child's irritability was the highest when a mother's type of language control was command-oriented control and status-oriented control. However, there was no difference of a child's leadership and apprehension according to mother's type of language control
As a result, the mother's type of language control has on effect on her child's self-concept and social ability. And personality-oriented control had positive impact on self-concept and social ability. When a mother tries a language control, she needs to use more personality-oriented control than the command-oriented control to have a desirable influence on a child's self-concept and social ability.
