The purpose of this study is to investigate the major variables and factors about the job retention of workers with cerebral palsy and to suggest a policy direction of vocational rehabilitation through the correlation study of these variables and factors. Job maintenance variables are composed of the employment period, survey respondents turnover intention, and number of turnover in this study.
Until now, there are little preceding studies analyzing the factors influencing the job retention of workers with cerebral palsy in or out of Korea. This study is to increase the internal and external validity of the result by strictly analyzing the predictors for the employment period, turnover intention, and number of turnovers through this investigatory research on the living situations and vocational characteristics of the workers with cerebral palsy to understand the relationships of these factors. Based on the study results, the current researcher is suggesting the intervention method in vocational rehabilitation aspects to empower workers with cerebral palsy.
The research issues are specifically established as the following.

Fifth, the researched factors and potential constructs of job maintenance found in this study are scrutinized.
For the last, the structural model of job maintenance is examined using a Lisrel program
Sociological characteristics are influencing job retention of workers with cerebral palsy. Age of survey participants appeared significant in employment period, and the marriage and gender were the variables influencing turnover intention. The variables of disability-related characteristics influencing job retention were statistically significant, and the degree of disability was statistically significant in number of turnovers. The higher the degree of disability is, which means the more severe, the lesser the number of turnover is. The employment-related characteristics affecting job retention were average monthly income and whether working at the disability-related organizations or not. The higher the average monthly income, the longer the employment period is. And there are fluctuations on employment period according to the characteristics of disability organizations. Vocational training experience and certifications have significant influence, and vocational training experience showed a negative correlation with turnover which means the vocational training experience lowers the number of turnover.
The employment period is influenced by a social support system and vocational service-related variables, and the employment-related government policy and the satisfaction of use of assistive technical devices appeared to be the variables with significant influence. Social infra of disabled employment-related government policies or system should be built with the support of appropriate government budget. And the possibility of employment can be widened and the employment period can be lengthened if the workers with cerebral palsy can use various assistive technology services. Social support system and various services are necessary to the workers with cerebral palsy, and it is the best method to realize the competitive employment opportunity in the local society and to enable continuous job retention with the provision of social stabilization of the severely disabled person. The communication factor influences the number of turnover significantly, and the job attitude and job satisfaction both influence turnover intention of research participants significantly.
It is suggested that a new employment support model working in an (independent living center) increasing more employment and job retention opportunities of workers with cerebral palsy should be pursued through a social support system and service factors should be considered.
Job retention of workers with cerebral palsy is difficult due to the communication problem or various language barriers. Wage subsidy, job support services, Korean independent living centers, employment incentives, supportive employment, and assistive technical devices are very important in solving the job retention problems. If the government support of building social infra related to the employment of workers with cerebral palsy as a policy is established, it can be the most efficient method in achieving productive welfare model, which is the best vocational rehabilitation, model of continuous job retention. Vocational success is easy to achieve from the expansion of employment of the mildly disabled person first if the central present government realizes that the welfare policy is to support employment for persons cerebral palsy.
