결혼이주여성 남편이 지각한 부부갈등이 결혼 만족도에 미치는 영향 = The influence that the conflict between the husbands and his immigrant wives to the satisfaction level of marriage life

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study mainly focused on the influence that the conflict between husband and his immigrant wife to the satisfaction level of marriage life and ultimately intend to supply the basic (fundamental) data to raise the satisfaction level of the family of international marriage.
To fulfill this purpose, we collected 240 sheets of questionnaires from the husbands of immigrant wives currently living in Seoul, Kyung gi Do and other local areas and 194 sheets of questionnaire of 240 were used for final analysis. The tool of this survey was asking the subjects
to answer each questions of structuralized questionnaire sheets which is self-reporting method.
SPSS12.0 method was used for the analysis of collected data and the descriptive statistics analysis, interrelation analysis and multiple regression analysis wer used.
The result of this study is as follows ;
First, after looking into husbands and his immigrant wives’
complication and the satisfaction level of their marriage life, the level of complication showed moderately 2.00 / 5.00.
By this result, the level of complication was not meaningfully significant and the average satisfaction level was 3.89 and this means the husbands of immigrant wives are satisfied with their marriage life.
Second, the influence on the satisfaction level of their marriage life that the husbands’ individual and social characteristics can have was not so meaningful. Among many factors which can influence on marriage life,
only the age factor can influence the satisfaction level of marriage life.
Third, the influence on the satisfaction level of their marriage life that the husbands’ relationship with their wives can have was meaningful (significant). Among many factors, the complication (trouble) about financial supporting and the truthfulness of their wives’ background information can influence the satisfaction level of marriage life. For the
truthfulness of their wives’ background information, the survey result showed that the more the wives’ background information was identical to the real information, the higher satisfaction level of marriage life is, but the hypothesis was rejected.
Lastly, the influence that the complication of the husbands and his immigrant wives can have on satisfaction level of marriage life was meaningful (significant). Among many factors, the complication caused by the differences between husbands and wives’ personalities and their sense of value, the complication from sexual life and communication,
complication from relationship with in-law family and their bad behaviors and habits can influence the satisfaction level of marriage life.
The limitation for this study and my suggestion for further study are as follows ;
First, the subjects for this research are the husbands of migrant wives who can contact with Immigrant Family Supporting Center, Supporting Center for Healthy Family, General Social Welfare Center. Therefore it is not easy to generalize the matter of the husbands of immigrant wives
who are in diverse situation.
Second, based on the satisfaction of marriage life of general couples, the questionnaire sheets used for this survey are not exactly accurate.
Therefore there is a need for improving the questionnaires which asks about the satisfaction of marriage life for internationally married couple’s family.
Third, this study mainly focused on the influence that the complication of the husbands and his immigrant wives can have on satisfaction level of marriage life. But it is important to compare different couple’s the satisfaction level of marriage life and to find out the variable (changeable) factors for satisfaction level and compare each factor for
the satisfactory marriage life and do more in-depth study on the differences among each factor.
Fourth, The rate international marriage will keep growing up in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to do more in-depth study on the satisfaction of marriage life and others so that their family can adjust to Korean society and settle down to this land.
Fifth, there are many good programs for immigrant wives in order for internationally married couples to settle down in Korean society and to lead happy marriage life. However, there are not enough programs for their husbands. More and more programs for them are needed. As the
result of this survey shows, the complication of husbands and wives was not meaningful (significant), but the complication caused by the differences between husbands and wives’ personalities and their sense of value was much higher than any other factors. Therefore, the programs
for immigrant wives which can make couples from different culture understand each other through are needed.
Lastly, there are some cases that similar or same programs are supplied by some supporting centers because each supporting center is not networked well. Therefore, it is necessary to develop (build up) the communication systems and the information networks so that the husbands of immigrant wives can access to social welfare service easily.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 결혼이주여성 남편을 대상으로 부부갈등 인식이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴봄으로써 궁극적으로 국제결혼 가정의 결혼만족도를 증진시킬 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다.
이러한 목적을 위해 서울, 경기도, 지방에 거주하고 있는 결혼이주여성 남편을 대상으로 240개의 설문지 중 194개의 설문지가 최종분석에서 사용되었다. 조사도구로는 자기보고식으로 답하는 구조화된 설문지를 사용하였다.
수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS12.0을 활용하였으며 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구문제를 통해서 진행된 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 부부갈등과 결혼만족도의 수준을 살펴본 결과, 결혼이주여성 남편의 전체 부부갈등정도는 5점 척도에서 평균 2.00으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 조사대상자들은 부부갈등 정도가 그리 높지 않음을 알 수 있으며 결혼만족도는 5점 척도에서 평균 3.89로 나타나 결혼이주여성 남편들은 결혼생활에 대해 만족하는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 결혼이주여성 남편의 개인􍾳사회적 특성이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향은 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 그 중 연령만이 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 연령이 높을수록 결혼이주여성 남편의 결혼만족도가 낮았다.
셋째, 결혼이주여성 남편의 배우자의 관계 특성이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향은 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 그 중 경제적 지원갈등과 배우자 정보 일치여부가 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 경제적 지원갈등이 적을수록 결혼만족도가 높아지는 것을 알 수 있다. 그러나 배우자의 정보 일치여부에서는 배우자 정보가 일치하지 않을수록 결혼만족도가 높아진다는 결과가 나와 통계적으로 유의미한 결과가 나왔지만 가설은 기각되었다.
넷째, 결혼이주여성 남편이 지각한 부부갈등이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향은 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이 중 성격 및 가치관갈등, 성생활 및 대화갈등, 처가와의 관계갈등, 본인의 나쁜 습관갈등이 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
즉 성격 및 가치관 갈등이 적을수록 결혼만족도가 높아지며, 성생활 및 대화갈등이 적을수록 결혼만족도가 높아졌다. 또한 처가와의 관계갈등이 적을수록 본인의 나쁜 습관 갈등이 적을수록 결혼만족도가 높아졌다.
본 연구의 제한점 및 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 연구대상자를 결혼이민자가족지원센터, 건강가정지원센터, 종합사회복지관을 통해 접촉할 수 있는 결혼이주여성 남편을 대상으로 하였기 때문에 다양한 환경에 처해있는 모든 결혼이주여성 남편에 관해 설명하기에는 일반화의 어려움이 있다.
둘째, 본 연구에 사용되어진 설문지는 일반부부의 결혼만족도를 근거로 하여 결혼이주여성 남편의 결혼만족도를 묻는 것이므로 정확도가 떨어질 수 있다. 따라서 앞으로 국제결혼가정을 대상으로 결혼만족도를 묻는 설문지개발이 필요하다 하겠다.
셋째, 본 연구에서는 결혼이주여성 남편만을 대상으로 결혼만족도에 대해 연구를 하였다. 앞으로는 국제결혼부부를 대상으로 부부간의 결혼만족도를 비교하거나 각각의 결혼만족을 결정하는 변인을 찾아내고 부부간 결혼만족요소를 비교하여 어떤 차이가 있는지를 연구하는 것도 의미가 있을 것이다.
넷째, 앞으로 국제결혼은 더 늘어날 전망이다. 따라서 국제결혼가정이 우리사회에 적응하며 정착할 수 있도록 결혼만족도를 비롯하여 다양한 관점에서 양적 및 질적연구 등을 통해 심도 있는 연구가 필요하다.
다섯째, 국제결혼가정이 한국사회로 정착하여 행복한 결혼생활이 되기 위해 각 단체에서 결혼이민여성을 대상으로 많은 프로그램이 실행되고 있지만 남편을 대상으로 시행되고 있는 프로그램은 미미한 상태이다. 연구결과에서도 나타났듯이 부부갈등은 낮게 나왔지만 그 중에서 성격 및 가치관 갈등이 다른 갈등에 비해 높게 나온 것을 통하여 결혼이주여성 남편을 대상으로 국제결혼에 대한 이해를 비롯하여 결혼이주여성이 살았던 나라에 대한 이해와 부부교육을 통해 서로를 이해할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램이필요하다.
끝으로 각 단체에서 서로 연결이 되어 있지 않아 중복 서비스를 제공하는 경우가 있다. 따라서 결혼이주여성 남편들이 사회복지서비스를 용이하게 이용할 수 있도록 통합된 전달체계 및 정보네트워크가 구축되어야 할 것이다.
