부모의 공감과 청소년의 내재화 및 외현화 문제행동 간의 관계

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 부모의 공감과 청소년의 내재화 및 외현화 문제행동 간의 관계에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 대구광역시에 소재한 H중학교 332명을 대상으로 하였다. 사용한 측정도구는 청소년이 지각한 부모 공감 척도와 청소년 문제행동척도를 실시하였다. 자료 처리는 SPSS 17.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 각 척도의 신뢰도를 검증하기 위해서 Cronbach's α 계수를 구하고, 부모의 공감과 청소년의 문제행동 간의 관계를 살펴보기 위하여 상관관계 검증, 중다회귀분석을 이용하여 자료를 처리하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부의 냉담적인 정서반응, 모의 냉담적 정서반응, 과민 정서반응, 정서지각이 청소년의 내재화 문제행동을 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부의 공감적 정서반응이, 모의 냉담적 정서반응과 과민 정서반응이 청소년의 외현화 문제행동을 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 부모 공감이 청소년의 문제행동을 예방하고 개입하는데 도움이 됨을 시사한다

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between parents' empathy and adolescents' internalized and externalized problem behaviors. The subjects of this study were 332 students attending H middle school located in Daegu. The instruments used for this study were Parental Empathy Inventory Perceived by Adolescents and Problem Behaviors Scale. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 statistical program. Cronbach's α was calculated to verify reliability of each measure. Pearson's correlation analysis was conducted to examine correlations among variables. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to investigate the relationships between parents' empathy and adolescents' problem behaviors. The results of this study were as follows. First, father's cold emotional reaction, mother's cold emotional reaction, excessive emotional reaction, and awareness of emotion were found to be significant predictive variables for adolescents' internalized problem behaviors. Second, father's empathic emotional reaction and mother's cold and excessive emotional reactions were found to be significant predictive variables for adolescents' externalized problem behaviors. These results suggest that parents' empathy is important in preventing and intervening adolescents' problem behaviors.
