그림책을 활용한 창의적 신체표현활동이 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Creative Physical Expression Activities Using Picture-book on Young Children's Emotional Intelligence

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 창의적 신체표현활동이 유아의 정서지능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.

1. 그림책을 활용한 창의적 신체표현활동이 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
가. 그림책을 활용한 창의적 신체표현활동이 유아의 정서의 인식과 표현에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
나. 그림책을 활용한 창의적 신체표현활동이 유아의 정서에 의한 사고 촉진에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
다. 그림책을 활용한 창의적 신체표현활동이 유아의 정서적 지식의 활용에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
라. 그림책을 활용한 창의적 신체표현활동이 유아의 정서의 반영적 조절에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?

본 연구에서는 경기도 G시에 위치한 S초등학교병설유치원 만 4세반 1학급 유아 22명과 인근에 위치하며 사회적․경제적 환경이 비슷한 P초등학교병설유치원명 만 4세반 1학급 유아 22명을 대상으로 각각 실험집단(22명)과 통제집단(22명)으로 배정하여 실험을 실시하였다.
유아의 정서지능을 측정하기 위하여 이영자(2000)등에 의해 개발된 ‘교사 평정에 의한 유아용 정서지능 평가 도구’를 사용하였다. 이 도구는 Mayer와 Salovey(1997)에 의한 정서 지능의 새로운 개념에 기초하여 유치원에서 활동 시간대별로 유아의 정서 지능의 정도를 관찰 파악하여 평가하도록 개발된 척도이다. 정서의 인식과 표현, 정서에 의한 사고 촉진, 정서 지식의 활용, 정서의 반영적 조절의 4가지 영역으로 구성되어 있으며, 총 108문항으로 되어 있다.
본 연구의 절차는 예비조사, 사전검사, 8주로 구성된 그림책을 활용한 창의적 신체표현활동, 사후검사의 순으로 이루어졌으며, 유아의 정서지능 측정 결과 분석은 t-test를 통해 검증하였다.
본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 그림책을 활용한 창의적 신체표현활동은 첫째, 유아의 정서지능을 향상시키는데 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 정서지능의 4가지 하위영역인 정서의 인식과 표현, 정서에 의한 사고의 촉진, 정서적 지식의 활용, 정서의 반영적 조절 능력을 향상시키는데 효과가 있었다.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of creative physical expression activities using picture-book on young children's emotional intelligence. The research questions for this study are as follows;

1. What effects do creative physical expression activities using picture -book have on young children's emotional intelligence?
1-1) What effect do creative physical expression activities using picture- book have on young children's emotional identification and expression?
1-2) What effect do creative physical expression activities using picture- book have on young children's emotional facilitation of thinking?
1-3) What effect do creative physical expression activities using picture- book have on young children's utilization of emotional knowledge?
1-4) What effect do creative physical expression activities using picture- book have on young children's regulation of emotion?

For this purpose, the subjects in this study were 44 preschoolers of 4-years-olds at the S kindergarten and the P kindergarten which were very similar social-economical environment located in Gyeonggi district. 22 preschoolers from S kindergarten were selected as an experimental group and 22 preschoolers from P kindergarten were grouped into a control group.
For measuring of young children's emotional intelligence, Lee, Lee, Shin(2000)'s scale was used. This scale consisted of emotional identification and expression, emotional facilitation of thinking, utilization of emotional knowledge, regulation of emotion and total amount of questions were one hundred eight items.

The research was accomplished as the procedures of preliminary test, pre-test, experimental treatment for 8 weeks, and post-test. The collected data was statistically processed and analyzed by t-test.

The results of this study are summarized as follows.
First, creative physical expression activities using picture-book was improved young children's emotional intelligence. Second, creative physical expression activities using picture-book was improved young children's emotional identification and expression, emotional facilitation of thinking, utilization of emotional knowledge, regulation of emotion.
