This study aimed at investigating the effects of the group play therapy to aggressive children who have single parent family. The object of this study consisted of eight(8) children who have single parent family in Busan H- local children community center, and they are divided to two(2) group as one(1) experimental group and one(1) controlled group each four(4) children. To achieve the goal of this study, the test of peer relationship and the aggression are used as the measurement. The research has carried out total eight(8) times each sixty(60) minutes, two or three times in once a week to experimental group only.
To verify the effects of the research, SPSS program implemented to calculate the average and standard deviation of the experimental group and controlled group before and after test. And video recording and observation log were used to investigate the change of their aggressive behavior.
The followings are the result of statistical analysis.
First, There is significant difference between the experimental group and controlled group regarding the peer relationship after the group play therapy operating.
Second, There is significant difference between the experimental group and controlled group regarding the aggressive behavior after conducting the group play therapy operating.
The results of this study showed that the group play therapy is effective on the children who have single parent family to make aggressive behavior reduction. Although this research is implemented with few participant. it showed that the group play therapy can help the children who have single parent family can reduce their aggressive behavior and contribute to have positive peer relationship.
