방한 일본인 관광객의 의료관광 선택속성에 대한 중요도와 이용의도와의 영향관계 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 해외환자 유치국으로 선망에 떠오르는 일본인 관광객을 대상으로 의료관광 선택속성의 중요도가 이용의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 알아보고 실제로 방한 일본인 관광객들의 한국 의료관광에 대한 인지도와 관심분야를 파악해 봄으로써 향후 일본인 의료관광객을 한국에 유치하기 위한 다양한 관광 상품을 개발하고 의료관광 인프라를 구축하여 국내 의료관광 산업의 활성화에 이바지 하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다.
실증분석을 위해 본 연구는 부산을 방문한 일본인 관광객 남․여 대상으로 표본을 추출하였다. 조사장소는 외국인의 입출입국이 빈번한 김해 국제 공한 및 중앙동 국제여객 터미널, 부산 지역 호텔 등을 이용하는 일본인 관광객을 대상으로 하였으며, 조사기간은 2010년 3월 5일〜2010년 3월 15일 까지 약 11일간 총 400부를 배부하여 이중 337부를 최종분석에 사용하였다.
수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 12.0 통계프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석, 다중회귀분석, t-test, ANOVA를 등의 기법을 실행하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 의료관광 선택속성은 모두 5개의 요인으로 구성되었으며 의료신뢰성, 의료서비스, 국가이미지, 다양한 관광자원, 지리적 특성 등으로 분류하였다.
둘째, 의료관광 인지도에 관한 분석결과 조사대상자의 대부분이 의료관광에 대한 경험이 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 경험이 있는 대상자 중 마사지/스파가 가장 높게 나타났다. 그리고 향후 의료관광의 관심분야에 대해서 마사지/스파가 가장 높았고 그 다음으로 피부미용에 관심이 높았다.
의료관광 하면 생각나는 분야에서는 성형이 가장 높았고 그 다음으로 마사지/스파 였다.
셋째, 의료관광 선택속성 중 의료서비스, 국가이미지, 다양한 관광자원, 지리적 특성은 이용의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
넷째, 인구통계적 특성 중 성별에 따라 의료관광 선택속성에는 차이가 있었으며 연령에서는 의료신뢰성, 의료서비스, 다양한 관광자원이 유의한 것으로 나타났고 학력에서는 지리적 특성이 유의한 것으로 분석되었다.
다섯째. 인구통계적 특성에 따라 의료관광 관심분야 간에는 성별과 연령, 학력 및 직업에서 유의한 관련성이 있는 것으로 분석 되었다.
여섯째, 인구통계적 특성에 따라 의료관광 하면 가장 먼저 떠오르는 분야 간에는 성별, 결혼여부, 직업, 소득에서 유의한 관련성이 있는 것으로 분석 되었다.
따라서 본 연구결과 방한 일본인 관광객의 한국 의료관광에 대한 선택속성의 중요도가 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 앞으로 고용창출과 부가가치가 높은 의료관광 산업을 활성화시키기 위해서는 그들의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 선택속성을 잘 파악하여 관광 상품을 개발하고 다양한 마케팅 전략의 수립이 필요할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to find how to promote this country's medical tourist industry. For the purpose, this researcher examined the effects of the importance of the selection attributes of medical tourism by Japanese visitors to Korea on their intent to use the tourism in the country. And the researcher examined the visitors' recognition and interests of medical tourism in Korea, resultantly helping develop tourist goods for attracting Japanese medical tourists to Korea and build up medical tourist infrastructures in the country.
For an empirical analysis, this study sampled male and female Japanese tourists who visited Busan. In detail, this researcher sampled and surveyed Japanese tourists who used Kimhae International Airport, International Ferry Terminal located in Jungang-dong, Busan and hotels located in the city between March 5 to 15, 2010. For the survey, the researcher distributed total 400 copies of a questionnaire to the tourists. Out of them, 337 were finally collected and then analyzed.
Data from the survey were statistically processed through frequency, factor and multi-regression analyses, t-test and ANOVA in accordance with SPSS Win 12,0 Statistical Program, Findings of the study can be summarized as follows.
First, the selection attributes of medical tourism were largely classified into five, medical reliability, medical services, national image, a varity of tourist resources and geographical characteristics.
Second, the Japanese tourists' recognition of medical tourism in Korea was examined to find that most of them had no experience of the tourism in the country. A few that had such experience enjoyed in most cases massage, followed by spa. The areas of medical tourism that the surveyed tourist felt like experiencing with highest interest were massage and spa, followed by skin beauty.
Most of the Japanese tourists reminded medical tourism of plastic surgery, followed by massage and spa.
Third, out of the attributes of medical tourism selection, medical services, national image, a variety of tourist resources and geographical characteristics were having significant effects on the surveyed tourists' intent to use medical tourism in Korea.
Fourth, concerning demographic characteristics, the Japanese tourists were different among one another in the attributes of medical tourism selection in accordance with their gender. Out of the attributes, How much medical reliability, medical services and a variety of tourist resources were affecting the Japanese tourists' intent to use medical tourism in Korea was significantly different in accordance with those tourists' age. And how much influential geographical characteristics were to the intent was significantly different in accordance with the Japanese tourists' educational background.
Fifth, the areas of medical tourism in which the Japanese tourists were interested were significantly correlated with their gender, age, educational background and profession.
And sixth, what was reminded by the Japanese tourists of medical tourism was significantly related to their gender, marital status, profession and income.
In conclusion, the importance of the attributes of medical tourism in Korea by Japanese tourists has significant effects on the tourists' intent to use the tourism. This suggests that the promotion of this country's medical tourist industry, which is expected to create lots of jobs and high added value, requires identifying such attributed more accurately and, accordingly, developing tourist goods and marketing strategies that can fully satisfy Japanese tourists' needs and requirements.
