The purpose of this research thesis was to explore models of relations among participatory motivation, flow, addiction and psychological happiness in leisure sports participants, and to offer basic data necessary for enhancing physical activities and qualities of life through leisure. The research subject population was selected as 441 leisure sports participants in Seoul Metropolitan areas as of 2010, with the classification of adventure, racket and ball sports events. The research results are as follows:
As to leisure sports participatory motivation depending on variable factors, there was a difference in exterior motivation from gender and sports events. None-Motivation showed the statically significant difference from age and career, in the first place.
As to leisure sports flow depending on variable factors, there was a difference in cognition flow from gender and career. All of flows showed the statistically significant difference from age and sports events in the second place.
Third, as to leisure sports addiction depending on variable factors, there was statistically significant difference in cessation of each sport event.
Fourth, as to leisure sports psychological happiness depending on variable factors, there showed the statistically significant difference in a sense of pleasure from careers and sport events.
Fifth, the analytic result of effects of leisure sport participatory motivation flow and addiction on psychological happiness revealed that participatory motivation had effects on cognition flow sport cessation and sports needs and affective feelings.
Sixth, leisure sports flow exerted influences on a sense of pleasure and confidence.
Lastly, the analytic results of causality between leisure sport participatory motivation, flow, addiction and psychological happiness showed that participatory motivation had the positive effects on sport events, while sports flow made the positive effects on psychological happiness.
