라반 이론을 적용한 움직임 표현활동 교육 활용성 탐색 = Exploring the Application of Movement Expression Education Based on Laban Theory

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초·중등 움직임표현활동에서 기존의 주입식 교육과 모방중심 교육의 한계를 극복하고 보다 더 넓은 의미에서의 체육교육의 효과를 지향하는 연구자의 의도에서 시작되었다. 이와 같은 의도를 바탕으로 본 연구의 목적은 라반의 이론과 적용사례를 제시하여 그 필요성 및 의의를 밝히고 이를 통해서 ‘신체를 통한 교육(education though the physical)’이라는 교육 패러다임(Paradigm)의 가치성을 강조하는 것이다.
본 연구에서는 체계적이고 과학적인 움직임 표현활동을 위해 움직임 분석방법인 LMA(Laban Movement Analysis)와 모티프(Motif Writing) 이론을 도입하였다. 연구 방법론으로는 라반의 이론 적용에 관한 논문을 분석하는 문헌 연구와 본 연구자가 직접 참여하여 진행한 『라반 움직임 창의력 교실』사례 분석을 병행하였다. 서울시에 위치한 K초등학교에서 특별활동이나 방과 후 수업이 아닌, 정규 체육교과 시간에 움직임 표현활동 영역으로 진행하였으며 연구대상은 3학년에 재학중인 남·여 학생 35명으로 하였다.
문헌연구에서는 라반의 이론과 사상에 관한 연구, LMA(Laban Movement Analysis)와 모티프(Motif Writing)이론에 관한 문헌들을 수집 분류하였다. 국내 체육교육의 발전적 대안을 모색하는 문헌과 라반의 이론을 주제로 한 논문 중에서 무용과 체육을 아우르는 포괄적 의미의 움직임 교육 내용을 선별, 분석하였다.
사례연구와 문헌연구 결과에 의하면 라반의 이론은 인간이 행하는 움직임을 효과적으로 하기 위한 신체적 기능과 표현력 향상에 도움을 주며, 교사와 학습자 사이에 구체적인 움직임의 언어를 제공함으로써 의사소통을 원활하게 한다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다. 뿐만 아니라, 움직임 표현활동에 적용된 라반의 이론은 학습자가 자연스럽게 움직임을 익히며, 창작하고, 타 교과와 관련된 수업내용 속에서 움직임의 주요 요소를 추출하여 응용할 수 있도록 하는 중요한 역할을 담당한다는 점에서 교육적 가치를 찾을 수 있다.
체육 수업만이 가지는 고유의 교육적 가치를 실현하기 위해서는 진행자의 역할을 하는 교사의 임무가 막중하다. 다양하고 체계적인 방법의 체육수업을 학습자와 함께 하기 위해서 우리나라 교육 실정에 맞는 교육모형과 새로운 프로그램 개발 및 후속 연구가 진행될 것을 제안한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is originated from the intention of the researcher to overcome a limit of former cramming education and imitational education and aim a more effective physical education in the wider meaning. Based on this intention, the purpose of this study is to clarify the needs and importance of the movement expression activity education by suggesting laban's theory and applied case and to emphasize the value of educational paradigms called educational (education though the physical) through this.
The LMA (Laban Movement Analysis) and Motif (Motif Writing) theory were introduced for a systematic and scientific movement expression activity analysis in this study. Literature study of paper regarding the application of laban's theory and case analysis of "Laban movement creative class" run by researcher were carried out in study methodology.
The case study was carried out in regular physical education class not in extracurricular activity or after-school class at K elementary school located in seoul and the object of study consisted of 35 male/female students at 3rd grade.
The literature about study of theory and thoughts of laban, LMA (Laban Movement Analysis) and Motif (Motif Writing) theory were collected and classified in literature study. The movement education contents in comprehensive meaning regarding dance and physical education were selected and analyzed in the literatures of seeking a evolutive alternatives of domestic physical education and papers for laban's theory.
As a result of the case and literature study, laban's theory have meanings to improve physical function and expressiveness for effective movement and make it clear to communicate between teacher and student by providing specific language of movement. In addition, Laban's theory applied to movement expression activity have a educational value that have student learn, create a movement in a natural way and extract, apply the main element in the contents of other class.
In order to realize the unique educational value of physical education, duty of the teacher who plays as master is very important. It is proposed that development and succeeding study of education model and new program that best suits korean educational society should be proceeded to make students available to get a variable and systematic physical class.
