The purpose of this study was to find the special school physical education teachers' perception toward physical education in the 2008 revised basic curriculum for special school. The subjects of this study were physical education teachers in special schools and distinctive features of teachers' background were gender, teaching experience, age, establishment form, school type, class type, and training experience.
The questionnaire that was developed by referring to the 2008 revised basic curriculum for special school and previous studies of physical education curriculum for special school is composed of 32 items including 25 questions on the perception of physical education in the 2008 revised basic curriculum for special school, and 7 questions on total perception of physical education in the basic curriculum for special school. Returned questionnaire were 131 and collected date were analyzed through basic statistics, independent samples t-test, one-way ANONA, categorical regression analysis, chi-square test.
The conclusions of this study were as follows;
First, the variables that affect the special school physical education teachers' perception toward the physical education in the 2008 revised basic curriculum for special school are gender, teaching experience, age, school type, class type, and training experience in the goals category, class type in the contents category, and gender, age in the teaching-learning method and assessment category. That is, the teacher who was woman and have been lower teaching experience and age were highly recognized in the goals category. In addition, the teachers of developmental disabilities school and high school class in the contents category and who was woman and have been lower age in teaching-learning method and assessment were highly recognized.
Second, the variables that affect the special school physical education teachers' perception toward the physical education in the 2008 revised basic curriculum for special school are school type, class type, and training experience. That is, the teachers of developmental disabilities school and high school class were highly recognized. In addition, the teachers who have been more training experienced special school physical education teacher were highly recognized as to the 2008 revised special school curriculum physical education.
Third, physical education teachers of special schools used the basic curriculum for physical education and general education courses and textbooks properly, and the proper teaching hours per week were about 3 hours. In the primary focus and goal of physical education in the basic curriculum was to improve physical fitness and motor skills, this is the most important sub-teaching was play, game and sports. The physical education in the basic curriculum requires a variety of sports with the purposes of the most difficult points, and was recognized as the students with disabilities of various needs, physical education classes, and special schools need to be addressed in the first issue to reinforce the physical and dedicated teachers.
Some suggestions for further research which were based on the results obtained through this study and the conclusions are as follows;
First, a special school for primary education and research methods courses in physical education through the diversification of the special school physical education teachers' perceptions can be measured variously by using more diverse methods. As supplementary material for quantitative studies of actual teaching and the broad participation and observation and through interviews using qualitative research to quantitative research studies are needed to widen the breadth of understanding.
Second, the special school physical education teachers should consider the adequacy of sampling. Curriculum implementation are a special school gymnast as well as an efficient special school for physical education classes that may affect the educational process-related variables based on a more broad and variable, and the balance considering the sample that take place for the study validity and reliability may increase will be.
Third, the operating status of the course did not stop at a temporary effect, frequent revisions of the curriculum is changed from time to time with the system. Therefore to determine the evolution of a longitudinal study multiple analyses is required.
