자기지향 완벽주의, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의가 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향 : 우유부단을 매개로 = The Influence of self-oriented perfectionism, socially prescribed perfectionism on Life Satisfaction : The Mediating effect of indecisiveness

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 다차원적 완벽주의 중 자기지향 완벽주의, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의와 삶의 만족의 관계에서 우유부단의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 대학생의 자기지향 완벽주의 및 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의와 우유부단, 삶의 만족의 상관관계를 조사하였고, 자기지향 완벽주의, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의와 삶의 만족의 관계에서 우유부단의 매개 모형을 가정한 후, 구조방정식 모형 검증을 실시하였다.
연구대상은 전국의 대학생 478부의 설문지를 배포하여 조사를 실시하였으나 그 중 416부(남자 169명, 여자 247명)가 자료 분석에 사용되었다. 연구도구는 완벽주의를 측정하기 위하여 Hewiitt과 Flett(1991)이 개발한 다차원적 완벽주의 척도(Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale: MPS)를 사용하였고, 우유부단을 측정하기 위해서는 Frost와 Shows(1993)의 우유부단척도 (Frost's Indeciveness Scale: FIS)를 사용하였으며, 삶의 만족을 측정하기 위하여 Diener, Emmons, Larsen 및 Griffin(1985)가 개발한 삶의 만족 척도(Satisfaction with Life Scale: SWLS)를 사용하였다.
분석방법으로는 SPSS 12.0과 AMOS 7.0 통계 프로그램을 활용하여 검증하였다.
그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 대학생의 자기지향 완벽주의, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의, 우유부단과 삶의 만족의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 자기지향 완벽주의는 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의와 정적 상관, 우유부단과 부적상관, 삶의 만족과 정적상관을 보였으며 우유부단과 삶의 만족간에는 부적상관이 나타났다.
둘째, 자기지향 완벽주의, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의와 우유부단이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 회기분석을 실시한 결과 자기지향 완벽주의는 삶의 만족에 정적 영향을 미치고, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의와 우유부단은 삶의 만족에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 자기지향 완벽주의와 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의가 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향에서 우유부단의 매개효과 모형을 검증한 결과 자기지향 완벽주의, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의가 우유부단 변인을 거쳐서 삶의 만족에 영향을 끼치는 완전매개모형이 검증되었다.
끝으로, 본 연구의 의의는 본 연구결과가 경험적 자료로 활용되어 한국 대학생의 특성을 이해하는데 도움이 될 수 있을 것이고, 삶에 대한 불만족을 호소하는 내담자들의 원인에 대한 기초연구로 활용하고, 상담전략에 사용한다면 내담자에게 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study verified the mediated effects of indecisiveness in relationship between two dimensions of self-oriented perfectionism, socially prescribed perfectionism among multidimensional perfectionism and satisfaction with life.
For this purpose, 416 college students(male 169, female 247) were asked to respond the survey which was used in this study. All subjects were tested with Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale(MPS), Frost's Indeciveness Scale(FIS) and Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS).
This study used SPSS 12.0 program and AMOS 7.0 program for analysis of study question established.
The result is as follows.
First, the study suggested that there was a significant positive correlation between self-oriented perfectionism and socially prescribed perfectionism, self-oriented perfectionism and indecisiveness, and significant negative correlation between socially prescribed perfectionism and indecisiveness, indecisiveness and satisfaction with life.
Second, self-oriented perfectionism had a significant positive impact on satisfaction with life. Simple regression analysis was conducted on the link between satisfaction with life and self-oriented perfectionism. socially prescribed perfectionism, indecisiveness had a significant negative impact on satisfaction with life. Simple regression analysis was conducted on the link between satisfaction with life and self-oriented perfectionism, satisfaction with life and socially prescribed perfectionism.
Third, Structural equation modeling analyses supported a full mediation effecting of indecisiveness between self-oriented perfectionism, socially prescribed perfectionism and satisfaction with life.
The direct effects of between multidimensional perfectionism and satisfaction with life were not captured as statistically significant.
Finally, the clinical implications and several limitations of the present study and directions for further study are discussed.
