The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of the university student's character strengths upon the scholastic achievements and psychology well-being. In order to accomplish this purpose, this study used the reduced version of VIA-IS of Seligman(2004), Psychology Well-Being Scale of Ryff(1989).
In this study, the collected data was analyzed after the survey was carried out with the subject of 173 university students who reside in Daegu City·North Gyeongsang province from September 21th, 2009 to October 8th, 2009. The analysis was carried out using SPSS statistical program to eximine Pearson's bivariate correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. As a result of analysis, it was appeared that the university student's character strengths affect the scholastic achievements and psychology well-being. This result suggests that the promotion of scholastic achievements and psychology well-being using the university student's character strength is possible.
